2010 Silverado Crew Cab. Sounds great - one issue I had is one of the crossovers had a stripped screw. I fixed it, but that is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. The speakers sound amazing, always been a big JBL fan, tweeters are super clear without being tinny. I am using a Soundstream amp to push them. I have a set of JBL components in my Mustang that are 20 years old and still sound great.

I have a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. The stock speakers were OK, but not great. I had to print a mount for these, as the ones you can buy from third parties didn't provide enough of an enclosure, and the speakers sounded TERRIBLE with them. Otherwise, these plugged directly into the stock GM harness with a third party adapter, and are being driven by an AudioControl D-6.1200 amplifier. Would not hesitate to purchase these again.

Really good sounding speakers for the price. Even when running on the stock head unit they have good bass and clarity. So much better than stock speakers. On a second note, they were a PITA to install in my 2016 Corolla. Crossovers are on the big side and there was no room in the door to mount them without interfering with something. Ended up wrapping them with foam tape and sandwiching them in the bottom of the door behind the woofer. Works but not ideal. Also none of the tweeter mounting adapters would work in stock configuration. Had to drill the tweeter grills out on the sail panel. Turned out great but a lot of work. If I had to do it over I would have bought the coaxial version of these.

I have tried a lot of speakers over the decades and these are up near the top of all the ones I've had. One thing that impressed me was the midbass on these exceeds everything I've had before. I have them crossed over with HPF at 80hz and driving them with a JL Audio 300/40 giving them 75w rms of clean power. They sound great and musical around the 30-40w range. I'd have to turn down the midbass a bit or increase the HPF to 120hz to push them harder as they will loose linearity with all the midbass at high wattage. I did a layer of sound deadening on the outer door skin (inside the door), and a second layer under the door card covering every hole that opens into the insides of the door and window regulator area. Then I added a foam mid-bass reverb pad behind the speaker, and finally the foam seal around the speaker itself to direct all the mid-bass into the cap through the door card. I believe this helped significantly in increasing the mid-bass and overall sound quality.

Installed them with a pioneer 4 channel amp and these speaker start to shine. These speakers can handle power, and a 92dB sensitivity allows the headunit to send all it has to them. However if you want them to really shine, give them some amplifier power (doesn't need to be expensive) and you will hear and feel the difference. Clarity and mid bass is improved dramatically.
