The topsy turvy hummingbird hangout planter is the most unique, hassle free way to grow abundant flowers. Topsy turvy is the famous upside down planter, where gravity forces the water and nutrients to pour directly down from the root to the flower. It features easy to use, efficient grow bag technology and it has seven side ports for an even more luscious flower yield. Simply place your favorite flowering plant in the topsy turvy, add favorite potting soil, hang it up and water. Sun warms the plant like a green house. The root system explodes and thrives inside the planter. No need for pesticides, digging or weeding, hanging in the air eliminates ground fungus, harmful bacteria and cutworm damage.

Very pleased with the progress of my Petunias!
There's a couple of things people should know about this item before purchasing it. You need the correct tools to put this together. Nothing complicated, just the basics like potting soil, a little scooper, water, plant food, and possibly a plant hanger.. I actually have a plant hanger that is a little over 5 feet tall, it has 4 separate hangers where I have placed hanging flower baskets. So as the red bag was getting a little heavy due to adding the soil I placed it on the hanger, and finished putting everything together and planting the flowers on top. One thing that helped so much was watching the inventor of this product on YouTube. He went step by step, and it was easy to follow the instructions. I've had Hummingbirds, and butterflies coming around in the last week and I am so pleased.

Actually I like the design
Mine arrived broken. I was going to return it, but then I noticed that I didn't pay much for it, and I could fix it with a couple of brads where the plastic rivets were not in place. A top piece was also broken, but I don't think I would use it anyway. Actually I like the design. Of course it's cheap. Of course the red color will fade. But the way it is built, it won't fall down. It also provides a nice place to plant if space is limited. I also bought a Tomato Topsy Turvy. The construction is similar. This one is wider and shorter with an additional spacer up above. If you plant with the tomato topsy turvy, this one would usually hang lower as it has plants growing out the top and bottom.

Not worth spending money on
I had no luck with this. Once you fill it up with soil, it is just TOO heavy. I used the same type of flowers in the photo and they just didnt thrive. THe ones at the bottom immediatly died. Im sure there is some user error, but the whole thing was tooo big and bulky and heavy. It faded and the plastic pieces started to break. The novelty is not worth the money.

A hanging planter would be better
This item is a plastic bag that you're supposed to fill with potting soil and add your own flowers -- no suggestions on what kind might be best with this particular style of planter, either. It's okay, but it's not especially attractive. A pretty hanging basket would be as effective and much more attractive.

Haven't seen any birds yet...
To be honest, I haven't really seen any birds ((or anything, really)) humming around this thing, so…if that's your aim, I would skip this. At the end of the day it's basically just hanging flowers, which is great for me since I have a balcony and no garden per se…but it otherwise doesn't serve much of a purpose. I've had it for about two months now…maybe it'll change?

"Quality" materials broke
"Quality" parts started breaking as soon as I tried to put it together. There are no detailed instructions as to how the parts are supposed to go together. I am going to try to make the bag work. This product does not seem to meet expectations.i haven't tried to put a plant in it yet.

99 cent store quality
Its very hard for me to understand how this company has the audacity to price something so cheaply made with the price tag of $15 ish dollars plus shiipping and handling fees. I want to return this item as soon as i opened the box and see and feel the product. One of the worst purchase i have made on amazon.

Great planter
Planted pansies in May and they are still growing and blooming in October, which is really saying something since I live in the desert with 100+ degree weather. The red color faded, but who cares when the flowers are so green and beautiful.
