Bolted in and ready to rock. No fab needed.
This bolted right into the existing housing of my 1981 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim. Even the plug was the same. The only thing I had to tap for was the side “DRL’s” which are purely for show since motorcycles low beams are always on. Assuming it holds up for a few years, I don’t know what else I could ask for.

Amazing headlight for the buck. Can't mount it though.
I purchased this to install on my motorcycle. Sadly there are few options for installation. No brackets. No bolt hole. I would have to use the face of it to mount to my motorcycle (some kind of casing).Otherwise this headlight works amazingly. It has lights that I don't even need and they are in good working order.I connected the headlight directly to a car battery to test each light. Low beam is strong and well directed. High beam is about the same brightness but higher. Hazard/fog lights (I'm not sure which one) looks cool. DLR lights also looks cool.If you have a means of mounting it, would highly recommend.

Fits Triumph Bonneville
I like it! gives a cool look to my retro bike and provides awesome functionality. I can finally see the dang road at night! Seems kind of important. For all the "well-appointed"ness on my hispter/mid-life crisis death machine, Triumph saved a few bucks on the headlight. No worries, this fixes that. The semi-circles on the edge of the light fit right in with the "modern" on my modern-retro cruiser. But that took some ingenuity (read jerry-rigging) to make work when I turn the bike on. Other wise they just sit there useless as a turn signal on a BMW cager.Looks good and (pretty much) works out of the box. Much like my beautiful Bonneville. Was fairly easy to install and lights up the night like a ....well, an LED headlight.

"Turn signals" don't work for Motorcycles...
I was hoping and assumed turn signals would work independently, but the 2 wires both operate both sides simultaneously (one white, one turns both amber). I have a stripped down harley softail and wired the turn signal wires into the headlight bucket, only to find the bulb doesn't do what I wanted.

Be ready to use your mechanical ability.
The lamp needs to have better instructions to start. The fitment list is incorrect. The mounting frame would require me to remove the fairing completely to install.I reengineered the housing to accept the lamp. The connector was wired incorrectly and I had to switch the wires around. The lamp works great now.The trim light is fantastic. You can choose either white or yellow if your bike doesn't have DTL. It is worth the investment if you get by the installation modifications.I also like that it doesn't get hot 🔥 to the touch. The original one got so hot you couldn't touch it.
