Good, comfy thermal glove
These gloves are thin, lightweight, and comfortable. They're constructed from a moisture-wicking, almost spandex-like material that fit well and allow quite a bit of dexterity. The gloves are breathable yet still offer some good wind protection. They are indeed light gloves, so if you're looking for something in the dead of a cold winter, you'll want something additional. Temperatures above 45 degrees or so would represent about the coolest I'd want to ride in with only these gloves. One thing I personally find these gloves great for is as a glove liner in the Chicago winters. Worn underneath a beefier pair of riding gloves (I use the Mountain Made cold weather glove) has dramatically improved the performance of the outer layer. Because these gloves are thin and comfortable, they are outstanding at fitting underneath the heavier gloves while drawing moisture away from my fingers. The aforementioned combo is comfortable for me down to at least 15 degrees F. The stitching is nice and it is the quality you'd expect from PI. My one star knock-off is because I find the capacitive fingertips to be not as responsive as other gloves manipulating my Galaxy S4 screen - I especially run into problems with the touch screen it is sheathed in something else (such as an armband or bike tube phone holder bag).Overall, these gloves are a good addition to your cycling or workout wardrobe.

It does the job well
It keeps my hands warm down to 50F. One needs to understand these are not regular bicycle gloves. They are not intended to be used by themselves even if you could indeed do it. They have no padding and in long rides it will affect the comfort. However, if you wear these under other gloves they are great. Here it is how I where them: if it is above 45F I wear them under regular summer biking gloves. This will give me the warmth of these gloves with the padding of the regular gloves. It temperature is bellow 45F I wear these under my Cyclone gloves. I have worn them like these in 30F and they feel good. One recommendation I make is to order these in a size smaller than what you would order other gloves. This way they will fit tight in your hands and will not move or clump inside the covering gloves. This way when temperatures change during the ride I can remove them from under the other gloves and keep going.PositivesCompress strength is comfortable. Warms hands nicely. Grips at the tip of the fingers are very light allowing you to feel well. Allows for multiple combinations with other gloves. Do not stick to velcro (I had some in the past that the tips of the fingers got worn out quickly because they would stick to the velcro)Not so greatNo padding (intentional). Fingers are a little on the long side (I bought small and while the fits tightly around the fingers are still a little long)They are just a couple of months old so I cannot speak for durability

Just right for my purpose
The Pearl Izumi Thermal Lite gloves were exactly what I was hoping for. They are light weight, feel good on my hands, and fit easily into my pocket when not needed. I go for long walks (up to 2 hours) and needed something for the colder days. After reading all the reviews, I was concerned about a tight fit or tearing, but neither of those are an issue. I would describe them as form-fitting, so they are snug but fit perfectly and I am careful when taking them off to not try to pull them off by yanking on one finger, but rather to start taking each of the fingers off a little and pulling on all the fingers together to get it off. There were also complaints about them not being warm enough. They are definitely light weight which I like, and it does feel cold when I start the walks when the temperature is in the 20s. Typically within 10 minutes though, my body has warmed up enough that my hands feel fine in the gloves and are no longer cold. If you are where it gets much below 25 F, they would probably not be enough. It is possible to manipulate a cell phone to some extent wearing the gloves (swiping the unlock code or hitting volume keys), but for the most part gloves need to be off to use most cell phone functionality.

perfect for above freezing but still cold weather
If you live in sub-freezing weather, don't laugh me out for writing this review from California.this glove is clearly not for very cold weather but for 40-60 F weather.Since the clock change with (daylight savings ending), it gets dark quickly so I'm riding either right after work or later at night once the kids are in bed.I recently rode my road bike with these gloves in about 45 degree weather and the gloves worked perfectly. It was a cold night (for us Californians!) but the gloves shielded my hands from the cold/winds. I can't say I was exactly "warm" but just not cold. After about 10-15 minutes of riding, my body started heating up but my hands were just fine. Meaning, the problem with full fingered gloves is that you can start getting very sweaty but I did not experience that with these gloves. The fit was very nice with just about of tightness but without constriction. The fabric is flexible so it forms to your hand/fingers.Pro- warm enough for above 40 degree weather- fits snug without constriction- price is reasonable- finger tip covers do allow for touchscreen sensitivity to allow me to use my samsung galaxy S3 (not terribly sensitive but it works).Cons- None so far
