IT WORKS!!!
Well, first of all, I've waited a number of months to be sure this thing really works, and IT DOES!!!Every sleeper's situation is unique so I will tell you a little about mine (yawn!). I rent a furnished apartment and the bed was fine when I arrived, nothing special; definitely hand-me-down (a little icky, I know). But after sleeping comfortably on it for a couple of years I noticed a definite valley in the middle. I have sciatic nerve problems with my lower back, so I thought a new mattress might make a difference. However, my landlord declined to buy me a new one, so I started looking into futons, thinking something more firm would be the ticket. I found some interesting looking ones on Amazon, but they were all more than I wanted to spend (on principle - I'm paying for a furnished apartment, after all!).Then I noticed this product and for only $59.00 (at the time) I thought why not! So several months later, using the Mattress Helper and a rigid piece of plywood on top of the box springs has restored my bed completely, so that there is no indentation in the middle and I sleep well on it again. Highly recommended!!!!Oh, I forgot to mention that at first the mattress helper actually raised the middle of my bed a little higher than the sides, so it helped to sleep right on top of the middle. Now, after a couple of months, the bed is level so I can stretch out anywhere. Consider this when you buy. If two people use the bed (or 3?!), you probably should get two and each person should sleep on his or her mattress helper to break it in. And maybe place them close together under the mattress so there is no valley between them. Make sense?

Why did I wait so long?
I had a sagging mattress but buying a new one was definitely not in my budget. Plus, I read so many mattress reviews that said within years people were dealing with the same issue. I tried a 3" foam topper several years ago which helped slightly but over time, the sag came back. It was to the point where I could feel myself rolling into it each night. I would wake up several times nightly with one or both legs asleep from the knees down because of the major sag. I am a single person with a king-size bed but I found myself sticking to the outer 15" on either side. I was just about to resign myself to some serious debt for a new mattress when I googled for solutions. Why hadn't I done this sooner?!? *smh* Anyway, this option came up and I was skeptical. The reviews were very good, though, and I was desperate not to spend all that money on a new bed. I thought that $130 for 2 of the large size would be a small price to pay if it worked, since even the foam topper cost more than that. So I ordered and it has arrived! The Mattress Helper looks like plastic slats but they are actually foam. I thought getting them in place would be difficult but it wasn't bad at all. I threw back all my blankets, etc and lifted up the corner of the mattress. I held it up with my knee and slid the Mattress Helper in place. I did one corner at a time and kind of adjusted as I went. Easy peasy compared to what I had imagined in my head!! It did raise my mattress maybe 2" so I took off the foam topper. Also, without the topper I would clearly be able to tell if the sag was there or not. I stood back to check it out and let me just say OH MY GOODNESS!! I was so excited to see how flat my mattress was! It looked and felt like a whole new bed and I couldn't wait to go to sleep and give it a try. WOWWWWW!! It was like brand new mattress!! So supportive and level. I can't believe I'm almost giddy over this purchase---no more numbness and tingling, no more clutching to the sides to avoid rolling in. I have my whole king-size bed back, all to myself! Sweet :)

fixes some problems, creates others...
I bought 2 twin size for my king size bed, as it recommends. We had some small divots, but enough to cause hip pain. These are easy to install, but they are SO THICK that our bed is visibly rounded in the middle now. If I get close to the edge, I could easily just roll on out. They are also so thick that there is a big gap between the mattress and box spring, so I can't tuck my sheets.I'd say these are only for massive dips. wish they came in a half height for those of us with little dips. Have had on the bed a little less than a month and they haven't squished much
