Outstanding Knife for EDC
This knife has everything I could have wanted for everyday carry. The surface of the scales makes for a great grip -- not soft or smooth, but rough enough that I know I will never drop it. Yeah, right. Of course I'll drop it, probably in sand or mud, on rock, concrete, or hard floors at home. This is why I buy this brand of knife. I know that if it does break I will take advantage of the guarantee, which should take care of any problems I may have. In shopping for this knife I received a crash course in metallurgy. I studied up on many of the characteristics of knife blades. I thought I wanted D2 or MagnaCut or M390 or one of the other fantastic steels available for knives. The problem I found with these outstanding metals is that I would not be able to sharpen them effectively myself. I chose Sandvik 14C28N which is a high end steel, holds an edge, and will not be too difficult for me to sharpen. If I ever do want to sharpen it back to factory specs I can just send it in to Kershaw and they will do it for me.I've learned that there's no "best" knife steel. I've also learned that there are many great steels available, one of which will be suitable for a person's individual needs. I chose Sandvik 14C28N as a great steel for me, and the Kershaw Blur with this steel does a terrific job of fitting my needs.By the way, the assisted opening works very well. The only negative I have about the knife is that it rides high in my pocket and so is easily seen.

Excellent Quality
I recently purchased the Kershaw Blur Navy Blue Pocket Knife, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The knife has a striking navy blue handle and a stonewashed blade finish that gives it a unique, rugged look. This is my second Kershaw Blur since I lost the first one, and I didn't hesitate to buy it again because of its excellent quality and value. The assisted opening mechanism is a standout feature—it's smooth and effortless, making it easy to operate with one hand. The ergonomically designed handle feels great in my hand and provides a secure grip, thanks to the Trac-Tec inserts. The blade itself is extremely sharp and functional, holding its edge well with just occasional fine-tuning. Overall, this knife is a solid choice for anyone needing a reliable and stylish everyday carry tool.

One of the best pocket knifes I've ever owned-- 110% recommened
I've done write-ups recently on a few other knives in this caliber (pocket'ish)/price range ($80-200).Pros: Virtual everything about this knife is perfect (98/100 points). The action to open and close is fast (the spring assist is amazingly fast and accurate). The finish is flawless from blade to grip (and seriously-- RAZOR sharp). Flippable 'belt' clip, textured grips... very sensible in length-- you can carry this in a pocket/purse without question.I can't emphasize enough how perfect the thumb-stud to opening-action actually is..The only, minor (and seriously MINOR) thing is that the belt clip itself is a little too "strong" and after multiple uses in a pocket can take a toll on the fabric-- likely you can adjust this with a little tweaking and/or you may actually prefer that.(Take a look at some of my other reviews-- blades that cost more...and this still beats them hands down)

My personal EDC and gifted to every man I care about
As a Mexican American woman, this is my personal piece. I have a large collection and this one is my prize. I always have this knife in my pocket every single day. I also gift this knife to the men I care about. A man that receives this knife from me means a lot to me. It’s a special gesture. I own 2 of these and they have never failed me. They cut through corrugated cardboard like butter. Plastic, tape, foam, rubber, paper, everything. I oil mine with the Kershaw oil once every 2-3 months to keep the stickiness from box tape off of them and keep the hinges slippery. Since it’s assisted opening, if you drop it and it hits the floor it can pop open which is dangerous. This is def an adult’s knife and it is not legal to own in every state and municipality. But it’s my fav. The thumb tabs can cut into your pants eventually. But they’re worth it for the flawless easy opening they provide. I hope Kershaw never stops making this knife and colorway. It’s a high quality piece and worth every penny.
