Great Book
Almost finished reading this one. It's a nice story & keeps you interested. One thing I noticed is she keeps talking about Ben's jeep. But she doesn't capitalize Jeep. It is a brand name & the J should be a capital letter. As a Jeep owner myself, it made me crazy to keep reading jeep! Other than that, I really like this book!

Perfect start to summer reading!
Summer at Firefly Beach is a great kickoff to summer reading. Full of family dynamics, it moved slowly enough to keep up with each character yet quickly enough to hold interest. Though somewhat predictable, the story line left enough anticipation to make one eager to read the next chapter. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Emotional Insightful Read!
Author Jenny Hale has written another superb, thought provoking novel probing the depth of family dynamics and love. Hallie and Ben, best friends since childhood, have an ongoing “best friend forever” relationship that became more complicated as time and events occurred. Both have had romantic relationships that just did not make the grade for a permanent commitment even though the other party seemed to fulfill the attributes they were looking for in a forever mate.Sometimes other people see what seems to be so obvious but the person actually involved cannot see for the “fog of life” obscuring the person’s clarity. How does that person get clarity? In Hallie’s case her Aunt Clara provided a unique way of helping Hallie after she died. Aunt Clara was a dynamic force in the family and community but particularly in Hallie’s life. She was a person who just understood people and in particularly individuals in her family, especially Hallie. How does one know how one will impact people after their earthly life? Aunt Clara certainly constructively impacted her family after her death through unique ways.Besides Ben and Hallie, which is who the main plot of the story revolves around, Jenny Hale weaves a poignant sub plot involving their Uncle Hank and his brother who the family did not know existed. Other family dynamic side plots are woven into this wonderful family story as well. The reader cannot help but see familiar characters and events that will remind them of their own family members and remember those who helped put clarity and guidance in their life.To say more about the plot would take away from the enjoyment of the individual reading this wonderfully written novel

Neutral about it
Review of Summer at Firefly Beach by Jenny Hale:⭐️⭐️⭐️.When Hallie Flynn thinks about her favorite childhood memories, they always include Ben, her Aunt Clara, and Firefly Beach. But this year, her trip to Firefly Beach will be missing someone special. Aunt Clara passed away but she left Hallie a letter instructing her to finish her bucket list that she created when she was 12-years old. What Hallie begins to think are inconsequential things, end up being life changing. Firefly Beach is the perfect book for readers looking to escape to a world of summer romances, coastal beaches, and family love.If you’re looking for a light read where you can picture yourself on a beach, this is it. I was a little disappointed in the predictability of the storyline and the near-perfect ending. I also find books to be incredibly frustrating when information is withheld from others, and where had said information been disclosed or communicated, could have resolved a lot and avoided all the problems to begin with. I’m over that trope. It makes me want to scream at the characters to just talk to each other openly without holding back and believe that as adults, they can make the best decisions for themselves without assuming for them. UGH! But this was an okay read. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it. It didn’t bring out a lot of emotions for me other than frustration around the trope chosen for the storyline. But the author’s descriptions of the scenery really helped me to envision the beach and cool summer nights. I felt like I was on the gazebo or walking the beach with the wind going through my hair. Romance was a bit on the conservative side so perfect for readers who don’t prefer the hot and steamy reads. Character dynamics were fluid and realistic. It’s a simple, cute, cozy, and light read that is perfect to break up the heavy and stressful titles you may be reading.

Decent summer beach read
I like Jenny Hale's writing style and this was definitely a decent beach read but like others have said its not really a page turner. It has a easy to follow storyline but also one that is easy enough to guess especially if you are a regular romance reader. I do really like the character Ben, the best friend who is always there for her, and the relationship she had with her Aunt which I found relatable. I just wish we got to see more of Hallie's self growth without it being as intertwined with her love story as it was. Hallie character is very oblivious which can be a bit annoying at parts but I enjoyed the cute friendship moments she had and liked how Jenny chose to end the book.

Sweet, Romantic, Page Turner
I absolutely loved this book. It was the first book I read by Jenny Hale and am now a huge fan! I just purchased another book by her because of how wonderful this one was. This book keeps you intrigued and curious with each page. It has a Hallmark movie feel to it. I couldn't get enough!

Great book about love at the beach!
I chose a 5 star rating on this book because I could not set it down! I don't want to ruin the story for you but throughout the whole book I loved the relationship of this family on Firefly Beach! It took the whole book to have it end the way I wanted it to but that is what you find makes you go from chapter to chapter....to see what happens next! I think women of all ages will enjoy this book.

A Nice Place
Liked this latest Jenny Hale book have all of this authors as I love the story's. Ben was lovely and Haille had a lovely friendship with him and realising she loved him as much as he loved her was sweet. The sadness at Clara's passing was so much part of the story as looking after Uncle Hank who felt it deeply. I was not surprised by the intruder or the fact Lewis was his brother as I did think he'd tried something with Clara and he annoyed me with his seemingly smug attitude but I loved Robby and how he looked upto Ben and how Sydney and Mama also cared for the family. Glad Ben and Haille got their happy ending and Beau the dog of course

Very light reading...
This is very light reading. As light as an eggwhite omelet. I bought this with audio, which exacerbated the problem, the readers whiney voice and exaggerated style failed to anchor the story. This book irritated me.
