Love this unit for non-passthrough crimping. Note: It comes adjusted for CAT7 and needs to be adjusted for CAT5 or it will not crimp completely. I had meant to purchase a passthrough unit but this supports both RJ45 and RJ11/RJ12, I still have a lot of RJ45 non-passthrough ends, some other reasons and the price was so good, that I kept it as my backup unit. This style of crimper is about half the weight of the older heaver ratchet style. It has better leverage and takes much less grip to affect a great crimp. For me it is also easier to push larger sheaths into the crimper to get a great crimp. It comes with a stripper that I thought I didn't need but this stripper is much easier to use, that I gave away my old strippers.

Wow! I don’t know which of these two devices was more useful. I bought them to run Ethernet through my house, and it was by far the best investment I’ve made in home improvement. The wire stripper is brilliant. Just remember to adjust the blade so that it doesn’t cut your wire when you’re trying to strip off the outer casing. (There was a little trial and error involved) The crimper is so quick and easy to use. Put in the RJ45 connector and squeeze. It doesn’t require super strength like a staple gun, my 3-year-old was even able to help crimp a few cables.

Excellent all-in-one tool. The included cutter works well for removing the plastic insulation. The tool itself provides crimping for all size network cable now in use. There is also an integrated crimper for the metal shielding used on CAT 7.

Works as well as my $80 one

Here's all the problems I had: -The cuts on the wire stripper are inconsistent, you don't know if it will cut off one of the cables or not cut enough. -Crimping tool would push the cables to the side! This made me redo cables numerous times. -The tail fastener would force the fasteners through the cables at times and it would ALWAYS get stuck n the tool. I had to use "gentle" brute force to get the cable out of it, dreading of course that if it was a good cable I would have to restart the process again. The whole process would take me HOURS instead of a few minutes like it should. So VCE, you have entirely lost my trust in your products.
