Just awesome geekyness! But useful practical uses too!
These things rock! I bought the blue and green models. I’ll probably get the red too for nostalgia (reminds me of old-school 1980’s red LED geekiness). The iOS app you want is called LEDBadge, the one mentioned in the instructions (Mini LED Display) doesn’t seem to talk to them. Programming is quick and easy, you can enter 8 messages at once with different effects and scroll speeds/directions for each. Press the Bluetooth button on the badge, hit send in the app and it’s ready to go. The badge must be in that receive mode to be programmed, so no on-the-fly programming and unfortunately no hijacking of someone else’s badge 😂You press a button on the badge to cycle through which message you want to display. Too fun. Let your geek flag fly with these!

This was a godsend for me!
Let me start by saying that I have always hated name tags. A little over a month ago, I started delivering food for a big name restaurant and grocery store delivery service. I noticed that I stood around a lot looking like just another customer to the workers’ eyes.I decided that I needed something that alerted them to my intended purpose without me yelling or waving my hands around. So, I went on Amazon and typed the name of the company that I contracted with and looked to see what shirts or something I might be able to find. This popped up in my search. I thought, “a mini-light show would get everyone’s attention.I was right. EVERYONE, workers and customers, were suddenly noticing me and my purpose. This did its job so well that it has helped make my job easier, more fun, and it makes me new friendly acquaintances every time I use it.Suddenly, workers were even giving me free food and fountain drinks, and that has made this purchase well worth it.

Bluetooth programming is a game changer
I have had previous LED badges, but Bluetooth is a game changer. You can program up to 8 messages on your cell phone and send it via Bluetooth very easily. Here are some of the things that I didn't think were clear or are simply worth mentioning again:1. Use an app called LEDBadge. It is simple but worked fine on my iPhone. Just point your iPhone camera at the QR code and it will take you to the app.2. The upper right button is On/Off/Bluetooth. You don't need to pair the device. Use this button to bring up the Bluetooth symbol when you are ready to receive the messages from the app and then hit send on the app. There is no need to go through the hassle of pairing like you have to do with bluetooth headphones and speaker.3. The bottom button is used to switch between the messages (up to 8). Press and hold to cycle through brightness levels.I thought the app was fine. I wish there was more documentation on the display options, but uploading the messages is quick if you want to experiment.Wishlist:I want one of the handheld LED fans with the Bluetooth programming ability offered by this badge.Someone needs to sell a pack of multiple devices with a less expensive price per unit.Update:I had it stop working for a while. The error message was in Chinese which was frustrating. I took a screenshot and had it translated using a common translation program written by a common search company. There is an input line for up to 8 messages. In addition to populating the line with a message, you need to slide the selector to load each line. I had the slide set to load an empty line.

Looks cool 😎
Love it! Got so many compliments. It comes with a charging cord and tiny little instructions that's the only downside and tiny buttons so if you got long nails or big fingers it may be hard to work.

Stopped Working on First Day
My biggest complaint about this product is that it stopped working the same day I got it. I set it up, and it worked as advertised at first, but then I tried charging it using the included charging cable. It would not turn back on after this. I tried using another charger, still did not work. I should’ve read more of the reviews on here as quite a few reviewers said theirs stopped working soon after getting it as well. I’m returning this product. It’s a shame it didn’t work, because it’s exactly what I’m looking for.The directions for use are not very clear. The QR code on the instructions led me to a site in all Chinese characters. The QR code on the actual name tag led me to a site that I could download the correct app from, because it is not clear based on the name used in the instruction book.Don’t waste your money.

a good way to catch the eye
I used this for a walk and talk conference. The bright light and easy readability was very effective. It did take some fiddling to create messages that worked well for the amount of digits that can fit on the screen. I found 5 letter words in the Latin alphabet works best. Fancy fonts can be used, but it bugs up the standard font, but that's no big loss.

Great Name Badge
I bought this as a novelty item. The included programming disc makes it easy to program anything you want to say.
