Perfect pool part
Easy to install. Been setup for a couple of months now and works great. I needed these for last years pool pump hooked to a new intex pool that did not come with a filter pump. I was skeptical at first that these 2 pieces would fit with the 1.25 to 1.5 conversion issue between the pool and hoses. The old pump and 2 hoses that come out of the sides are 1.5. The pool itself is 1.25 and the middle and far right hoses (top part of the T- clearer looking hoses that actually came with the pool). I used one converter on the left attached to pool directly and larger 1.5 hose that came with the pump. The 2nd one I used with the bottom of the T tubing part off to the right. I needed to buy 2 clamps to have them fit snugly and not leak. So heads up if you're trying to use a slightly different pump with one of these pools. Disclaimer: I don't have any professional pool knowledge- just a mom of 3 and the ability to trouble shoot basic stuff through research and trial and error. Good luck!

Save yourself! Go SAND and SALT! So easy, so fast. No filters, no chemicals! WHY didn't we do this sooner?!
We HIGHLY recommend this POOL, this SAND FILTER and this SALTWATER SYSTEM! 2016 We set our pool up and had clear water the first 3 days last year, and from then on, it was HORRIBLE. We did everything (chemical-related) and the whole season stunk - no clarity, green, just questionable to even be in. The cartridge filter included with the pool was crap. We couldn't buy enough filters to keep it working well, we hated the idea of all the chemicals we had to add. It made life very difficult! AND it increased our electric bill about $100 a month! We then left the filter in the shed over the winter, where it froze the grease in the motor and no longer worked for this season. THANK GOD! So we did THIS.... THE POOL Intex 15 x 42 Metal Frame Pool Set, Complete Kit with 1000 GPH GFCI Filter/Pump, 3861 Gallons https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B9DQTNY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IGMYVMSDB6EKD&colid=2RB1P2C1HBVI6 We recommend it! We are happy with the pool. It survived a 4 year old and 3 adults all summer. The ladder is flimsy, but held up. The cover is almost impossible to get on, don't we all just need another 6"? But it does float on top of the water from side to side - it warms the water a little, catches pollen on good weather days, and sinks in rain. The chemicals we used last year bleached parts of the bottom, but it seems to be just a coloring issue. We took it down and stored it dry for winter; it takes 2-3 hours to put up and my husband manages to do it alone with minimal swearing. We are done with chemicals, and plan to upgrade to an 18' version of the same pool next year. AND we will get a good leaf net for the new pool. I do recommend, if you plan on making it a long term investment, just buy the pool instead of the whole set and get a higher quality ladder, cover and filters separately. 2017 AFTER we filled the pool this summer and realized the old filter didn't work, we bought this great big, powerful sand filter and saltwater system on Amazon and had 6 days to wait until we could use it. The filter is over-sized for this pool but will still work for next year's 18' pool - and last year's crap filter left us feeling power hungry! As we waited for our new filter to arrive, the water was overrun with algae - we had some GROSS, thick, CHUNKY water! Based on last year's experience, I thought the water would NEVER clear up, we'd have to refill this pool again and the City will charge me ANOTHER paycheck for the extra water. NOPE! Take THAT City bill! We started the systems at 3pm and by 9pm we could see the bottom again! YAY! Once we had enough chlorine made from the saltwater system, we turned everything off for the night. In the morning! I had crystal clear water, or Krystal Clear, if you will! It will need a vaccuuming, but I am good to go! I CANNOT BELIEVE how much time, money and AGGRAVATION we wasted last summer on that old filter system! PLEASE, save yourself! GO SAND AND SALT! THE FILTER Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 16-inch, $155 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSPHS7E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 THE CHLORINATOR Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System with E.C.O. No chemicals, no filters to buy, and now I see right to the "bottom of the matter," Krystal Clear water! THANK YOU mother nature, what a great idea you had! This size pool has 1-1/4" hoses, and the filter and saltwater system use 1-1/2" hoses. Some of the filters and saltwater systems came with these adapters, for us, only the saltwater system ended up included one. Worked great after a little bit of modification.
I purchased these after I swapped out the crappy pump that came with my Summer Escapes 12' Easy Set Pool, which crapped out after 2 months. I purchased an Intex 635T pump that came with 1.5" hoses, and I used these adapters to change from the 1.25" that came with the pool. After I figured out what exactly I was supposed to do with them, installation went fast, but there was one small problem: the adapter did not tighten down fully on the output flange on the pool so it had a tad bit of leakage. However, I simply took a large wire tie, and wrapped it around the very end of the adapter, tightened it down, and viola! Problem solved.

From the crappy default bare minimum job 1000gph pump to a powerful one!
Exactly the right size and right number of what I needed. I have a Coleman 10 x 25 oval pool that came with a default 1000 gph pump that works up to a 6000 gal pool. My pool IS 6000 gal. So a bare minimum job. That mixed with back to back 100 degree days, frequent thunderstorms, and almost daily usage of 3 little daughters made the water murky pretty fast, and having to change the filter every 3 or 4 days. The pump hoses were 1.25 inches. 2 hoses forking into 1 hose sucked the bad water, and one hose blew the clean water back in. So I bought an Intex 1500 gph pump. But it came with only 2 1.5 inch hoses and my pool had 3 holes (2 outs, 1 in). So these 2 connectors allowed one to connect to the sucker fork, and the other one to go straight into the pool! And no leaks!

Needed if not using standard pump.
We have an Intex 4 foot tall pool and it's about 2 years old. This summer I've had a difficult time keeping it clear, lots of algae and it got out of control. So we purchased a new, larger pump. Well the pump didn't disclose that you'll need these adapters for the above ground pool. So we looked at their website.. cheaper yes, but longer shipping. Who wants to wait longer?? We needed our pool up and running! So we ordered here and had them within a few days. The new pump had bigger hoses and didn't attach to the pool, these fit right into the new hoses and clamped onto the pool with ease. No issues thus far and it's been up and running a week now.

Plastic clamp feels cheap
I had to purchase these when I bought a new pump for the pool I have as the pump hoses were too large. They were fairly easy to install but the plastic clamp feels cheap and I honestly don't know how many summers they will last without having to be replaced by stronger metal, screw down clamps. I thought they were pretty expensive for the amount of plastic they consist of. Seems like a bit of price gouging for the people that are in a pinch and realize their pump won't work without this small piece. Adapter works well but I don't count on those clamps maintaining for too many summers.
