About as close to professional grade as you can get for the price
I recently purchased on Amazon an older Coolaroo triangle shade sail that was “heavy grade” with a 10-year warranty but had to send it back because it was too small, however it set the standard for me in what a sun shade/sail should be. Quality and construction of that triangle shade was the best I’ve ever seen on many levels, from double reinforced corners, to what seemed like runners inside the edges for additional strength, to how much shade it actually provided. After purchasing three other sun shades of various brands and being disappointed with their quality (material was not tightly woven, very similar to a cheap tarp) and construction (edges were only single stitched vs the Coolaroo’s reinforced triple stitch), I almost gave up on getting a shade till I found that Coolaroo came out with a new line that was a little less “heavy grade”, but still had a 7-year warranty and was made extremely well (corners are still reinforced, banding on edges, heavy corner rings, just a little thinner of material in the mesh). Needless to say, this one is a keeper, especially for this price in comparison to other ones that are lower quality. At 12x12 from ring to ring, it does stretch out a bit when pulled tight, but it still covers the required area very well and does a wonderful job blocking the afternoon direct sun. Note that this item does not come with hardware to mount the sale. You can either pick it up on Amazon, or, I used two screw eyes and s-hooks at the house side, and as someone else mentioned, purchased two Vulcan 2” Bolt On Lashing Winch’s on Amazon and used these to crank the corners tight to my 4x4 posts plus allow easy removal come winter. It’s only been up a week, and been through a few thunderstorms with no issue, but based on the quality and construction, I expect it should last for some time.

High-quality, durable, effective
Arrived quickly, just in time for the horrible “heat dome” so we could be outside without frying. This is our second — they’re now sailing over the backyard together. The first one is 3 years old and looks brand new. We do take it down after the hot summers (because, yay snow!). We chose a lighter color so our sun-loving garden is still happy. (Found a third one at a moving sale and put it over the veggie garden.) we recommend getting the kit that includes hardware. It’s high-quality and just what you need to install the sail.

Great Shade for Minimal Cost
We installed this Right Triangle Shade Sail to fit into a tight corner of our patio and provide corner shade coverage. Our other two larger equilateral Cooaroo triangles (purchased separately) provide the rest of the shade in our patio area. This smaller Right Triangle fit the bill perfectly, not only size wise, but also architecturally it works with the other two shade sails to provide adequate shade while looking chic. The color is neutral and the quality of Coolaroo is very good in my opinion. Installation is NOT FOR BEGINNERS, and we learned from installing the first shade that the subsequent shade sails install much easier with experience. For us these Coolaroo Shade Sails have been a relatively inexpensive way to provide filtered shade for our patio/garage space where building a permanent shade structure would have been very expensive. My only issue is that the sails have less coverage for their dimensions due to the arched curves on each edge. I'm thinking it's a design and structural necessity because of the tension needed to properly suspend them in place. I recommend this item.

Great quality fabric and hardware, stretches over time
The Sahara Tan color is a nice light khaki beige, ignore the yellow product photos. The sail has metal triangle rings on each corner that are high quality. The sail material does not completely block out sunlight, but creates nice shade. The material stretches slightly over time, make sure to install it in a way that it can be tightened. I used a chain and carabiner on one corner, and I've had to tighten it by 4 chain links so far in the just the two weeks since I installed it.

Good replacement
The original shade sail we had got ripped up during a storm and that model was no longer available. This was close to the same dimensions, but I was worried I would have to relocate one of the mounts. No worry, an extra carabineer gave it just the length needed to fit. This shade sail is not waterproof, but it blocks much of the rain into more of a mist. It wasn't quite the same color, which was more of a Sahara tan/brown, but the more yellow color blended in perfectly. Plus, I think this is a bit better brand than we had before.

Great fabric, why the seam that always separates?
We have been coolaroo Brand loyal for many years. Their fabric seems to be the best at holding up to the sun. Unfortunately, the last two, and now the newest recent order have a seam about 1/5 of the way across. The previous two both split at that seam… The thread failed, NOT the fabric. Moot point… No good anymore. Must be a stress point combined with the Arizona sun, the thread around the border has never failed. In another area, we used a different brand, don’t remember which, Not ordered from Amazon, but might be available here. The fabric has held up OK, but is showing wear at the metal d-ring. The point is, no seam to fail. I suspect the reason for the seam is the bulk production of the fabric is narrower than the 12 ft shade. But the other companies don’t suffer from the problem. I will see how the other shade holds up, but I fully expect this coolaroo to fail the same as the other two. Sad, prefer their general workmanship and fabric to the others. Get rid of the seam.

Great product!
Very well made - durable & sturdy. Easy to install. We used this shade sail on the west facing side of our patio. We attached the top part of the sail to our house and patio cover and the bottom of the sail to the concrete slab. The shade it provides is wonderful. We had a straight line 50 mph wind the other night and it withstood it with no problem. I would definitely buy again.

Great quality, worth repairing
I currently own 3 Coolaroo shade sails over my pool. The oldest is going on its 7th season. I have had to have it repair a couple of times due to seem failure. A local marine upholstery shop fixed them for less than the cost of buying (and with better thread). You can see the difference in the photos between Coolaroo and the others. The only reason I bought the one Amgo was that I needed that particular size and Coolaroo doesn't make one.
