great thermometer, but it took 12 days!!! for Post office to deliver. why did I want this? because I got the flu, and both of my "modern" battery thermometers were dead.This is a great product.

Many years ago I bought a GeraThermometer. This thermometer worked fine. Recently I bought a 2nd thermometer for my first aid kit. This one, which looks exactly like my 1st one, does not work at all. The indication line stayed at 102 degrees. I could not shake the indicator line down. I put it in the freezer and it remained at 102 degrees. The Gera Thermometer is not returnable. Don't buy the Gera Thermometer !

It registers at 105 degrees. you can't shake it down like the old ones. it did not have ANY instructions, and now I find out it's non-returnable. DO NOT PURCHASE, as it's a worthless piece of crap.

This in not a Mercury thermometer as the name implies and it is very hard to skake down.

I have two of these and four digital thermometers. I decided to test them against one another. The digital thermometers were all over the map with readings, but these two always matched. I set a timer for 10 mins for these. The digitals beeped anywhere from about 6 seconds to 1 minute depending on the brand and varied as much as 1 degree from each other. More convenient perhaps, but not worth sacrificing accuracy.

Absolute junk. Give me a good old mercury thermometer. Or the old red alcohol ones. you could shake them down below body temp and then watch them rise. This came to me 108 degrees and won't shake down. No, I won't put an ice cube on it to see if that works. That's not the way thermometers are supposed to work. Also, because it's a third party selling it, even though Amazon has "refund or replacement within 30 days" if you try to return it, you have to pay the postage.

I like the thermometer because its easy to use.
