We thought the item might be awesome to introduce into our family. We have a large family with many devices and thought the octopus would help us share our interests together, but...... the instant we hooked up the octupus we were disappointment. No matter what the primary device the octupus was hooked into. Anyone joining the ride on the octupus only got to receive sound through one ear of their headset. Muffled sound in one ear mind you, which is worse than just allowing the built in speaker on your intended device to just do what it was made to do. We threw the octopus out.

Don't worry, these allow stereo on each additional connection. I have noticed no volume degredation at all when I have three connections. I use this with my Logitech 5.1 computer speakers. I have them in my garage, now, and just use them with my phone. Now I have sound through all the speakers and they sound great.Before I got these, I could only connect one of the three connections for the speakers and would turn the volume to max and have trouble hearing my music over my giant fan in my home gym (aka, my garage). Now, I definitely don't max out the volume and cut the bass down on the subwoofer and have plenty of sound to stay motivated to do one more box jump or push up.

Used it on the plane with my 2 vacation companions so we could all listen to the same music together on our trip. Worked great. Fits perfectly into my tablet and doesn't affect the sound at all.

This works great and it's perfect for people who want to listen to music together in a place where you can't play music out loud. I'm the type of person who hates when I am listening to music with earphones and someone wants to listen with me so I have to share by giving them one earphone. A lot of songs sound so much better when both earphones are on. Buying this made my life easier and now I do not have to complain about sharing my earphones anymore!

Wonderful experience with this item. Easy to use, and high quality sound. Excellent for simultaneous use of multiple speaker systems. Bought it about six months ago, and haven't had any issues yet. Be advised, however, the included aux cord is rather short. Can't be beat for this price.

My only question is, why did I never know about these before!? I am using a couple of these in my classroom to help share iPads in situations where students need to watch a video or listen to audio (like audio that reads a story out loud). This device makes it possible for up to 5 students to listen and share a single iPad. Wonderfully practical. I would highly recommend it.

I purchased these 5 years ago and they haven't held up. The sound quality is poor. Spend more money and buy a better quality product.

This is exactly what I was looking for! My family and I fly a lot and usually ride American. They seem to have gotten rid of all their monitors and have gone to an app that passengers can download on their device and rent movies that way. Rather than having to purchase a movie(s) for each of my children, I am now able to purchase it just once and they can plug in their respective headphones to this splitter and enjoy great quality, stereo sound. The quality of the sound is not at all diminished! I'm so happy with my purchase and highly recommend this item.
