There seem to be very few 12" fitness rings. Can a person whose 5' 1/2" work with a 14cm ring?

14" is for folks who are 5'4, you would need the 12".

How many circular metal spring pieces make up the circumference? i.e., 1 piece would be less resistance, whereas 2 , 3, or 4 would be heavier.

It’s only one piece and I believe it’s made out of the same material a sail batten is, I.e fiberglass There’s plenty of resistance the harder you squeeze.
