I just started painting a few months ago. Of course my first thought was to get the "best" of everything. Then reality set in. This is a hobby that I am just starting. I may be really bad at it. This is not to earn a living. So I decided to get something cheap to start with and chose these paints. I am so pleased with the color range, some classic colors like yellow ochre and payne's gray (their version of them of course) as well as some unexpected colors like neon pink and bright lime green. These are not premium watercolors for sure (not for this price), but they are pretty nice and very useable. I already used up the first one just learning how to paint and have ended up with some pretty decent pieces. I like this product so much that I just ordered and received my second one. Maybe one day I'll order a nice set like the Winsor and Newton Cotman, but for now, I don't see a need for the extra expense. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed to start painting without investing a million dollars. Colors are beautiful and brushes are just fine for a beginner to try out.

Great color palette!! Cake paints are great to work with. The cover work do well for mixing and easy clean up

Colors are vibrant and beautiful. Water dries very quickly on paint kit. Takes a little practice to get right routine of rewetting brush with correct amount of water. Very easy for a 9 year old, a bit more challenging but doable for a 4 year old.

I wanted to try watercolor painting, as someone who has never used watercolors outside of elementary school, I was happily surprised at how far these paints have gone. I have painted several pictures, probably going a little heavy handed with the colors because I like vivid pictures and still haven't used up any single color. I did have to buy better brushes versus the ones that came with the paints but other than that I have been really enjoying this product.

My daughters always want to use my palette of semi professional watercolors because there are so many more than the usual palettes for kids- so this one came around and now they don’t ask to use mine because it had the same amount of colors. If you have a kid and don’t want them to use your good supplies, this palette is for you! Or them. But it’s a great palette and it’s lasting a while too! The colors are beautiful and vibrant
