1) The idea to zip tie the bracket was great. It allows you to experiment with the position of the pedal before tightening the bolts.2) Put in one bolt and a loose nut, then the second will be easy and you won't worry about it falling out of reach. Then zip tie it in place. You can cut off the tie before securing the hardware.3) The third position is nearly at the firewall for long legs. The first position, the one I use, is still a little further than the clutch pedal. I have a 32" inseam and I wish it were a little bit closer, but all is good. I can always move the seat forward.4) When installed, you can still get your foot under it comfortably if you want to stretch your leg out. In fact, I have to think about using it as I forget it is available. I'm sure that will change as I drive this jeep more frequently.I don't even have 100 miles on my new Willy's. I really love this vehicle!

The dead pedal is heavy duty and I see no reason why it wouldnt outlast the Jeep you install it in. That being said, the struggle was at first finding out that the thing would not fit in the holes it said to use above the bracket. There is a set behind there that the U bracket fit in really easy, but the mounting plate wouldnt clear the wire harness. At that point, I had to drill the correct holes out slightly larger on the bracket on the jeep AND the mounting plate. Once that was done, the install went as smooth as it possibly could have given the tight space you had to work in. Ive read some people say that the install was super easy, well that wasnt the case here. If you are willing to chance similar struggles, I think you will be pleased with the additional ride comfort that the pedal provides.

This dead pedals is just what I needed. Provides the perfect place to rest your left foot while driving. Greatly helps with my issues with my left foot. Being a big guy at 6’2”, the install was a little challenging. Though it only took me 30 minutes to install i could only use one hand by the time I got underneath the dashboard. Be careful inserting the bolts as they could easily be dropped. Also as instructions say, use either tape or a tie wrap to hold bolts in place while placing pedal on. Also try as much as possible correctly determine placement of pedal so you do not have to remove, adjust and reinstall. But overall very happy with the product and outcome.

Okay, had my Wrangler for a month and noticed that on longer drives, my left foot just wasn't comfortable. I researched a number of dead pedals and went with MORE (Mountain Off Road Enterprises) based on the great reviews. It was a little challenging to install, but any dead pedal is because of the location where the work needs to be completed. But once this pedal is in, it's awesome. I set it on the furthest forward setting, which I feel is the closest to the depth of the brake and gas pedals. Now my legs and feet rest at the same angle when driving, and it feels great! Definitely buy this for your JL Wrangler!

For holding the bracket, I used a micro bar clamp from Irwin, (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004SBCO/ref=emc_b_5_t) which worked well. I set the pedal up for the middle position which made for limited clearance between the pedal and the front mount bolt/nut. I was also working blind for getting the front nut on as the pedal blocked my view of the nut. Also I had to do the install one handed for all steps, but my overall personal circumference was the biggest factor in that.

East install as long as you don’t want it in the middle location option. I did but gave up on it as I could not get my hand around to the back nut behind the pedal. Otherwise east install. I tied a piece of string to the piece that goes behind the kick panel just in case I dropped it before I got it in the holes.It’s solid and I can put all my weight on it. Improves the driving experience for long and short drives.

I hardly ever review anything unless it is either an absolute hit out of the park item or so bad that it is worth wasting my time to write this review. Had I seen their "Terms-Policies" prior to my purchase, there is no way I would have bought this. They have a section about "FIT and TOLERANCES" blaming everyone other than themselves and informing me after I have bought, received, and about to start the install, that "you may find it necessary to grind, elongate, bend, or force these parts to fit on your rig". As soon as I read this, I was going to simply return it, but then read that I would have to go through an act of God and even then be charged a 20% restocking fee to be able to return this crap. I therefore decided to get it installed. It was the most amount of pain to get something this simple with only to bolts installed. Engineering and build tolerances are absolute garbage. I wish I had bought one of the much cheaper options that would have probably done the same job and most likely installed much easier. Even if not, I would have paid half the price and / or be able to return it without a fee.After all of this, if and when you get this darn thing installed, yes, you will have a decent place to rest your left foot.

Awesome product very strong and you can get your Matt in and out with no issues. Love it. But!!!! It’s a bugger to install. But worth it
