Excellent car seat! If you are looking for a car seat that allows your child to stay in a 5 point harness longer then look no further. This car seat will accommodate your child in a 5 point harness up to 65 lbs! My 2 year old was almost 40 lbs, about to exceed the weight limit on his old car seat. I did not feel that he was ready for a booster seat yet, I wanted him in a 5 point harness. I started researching and found that most are around $250+... I think this is the best value for the money by far! My 9 year old daughter sat in the seat and she would fit just fine, so I am glad that this will be the last car seat we need to buy for my 2 year old!My son says it is very comfortable. Does not seem overly bulky, fits in seats great! Super easy to install with latch system... easiest I have ever installed. Could not be more pleased with this purchase! Will be getting more for dad & grandma's cars!Edit 8 months later, we did purchase more, still extremely happy with this carseat!

When our baby was born premature we had to exchange our infant car seat for one that would accommodate a 4# baby. We were given hours notice and so had to buy an expensive one locally. 9 months later, our preemie is thriving and a fat roll of happiness- but no longer fits in his infant carrier. We wanted a convertible and would need 2, one for each of our cars, as my husband drops off and I pick up. We were torn, tight on cash, but wanting to protect our precious cargo and also needing something wide enough to grow with our beefy boy into his toddler years. I was concerned this seat would be too narrow, but I was surprisingly wrong. It's huge, but not as big as some of the others out there so there is no need to adjust the front seat and I can still fit 3 kids in the back seat. It's comfy and the included padding secures baby into place, but will allow me to widen the seat when he's older by removing them. It installs easy, but I had to sit in the seat in order to get the LATCH tight enough to not be too wiggly. I LOVE the font adjusting strap. It makes getting baby in the seat and securing him a breeze. Fabric is soft, but does not cause a lot of sweat. I definitely recommend this seat for those on a budget!

We've been on a really tight budget and I was feeling really guilty for not being able to spring for the car seats that cost hundreds of dollars. Plus I drive a very small car and that narrowed down my choices.A friend sent me the Consumer Report for convertible car seats and I saw that this seat (one of the least expensive) was rated #2, just below a seat that cost around $300. After reading the report I felt a lot better about this seat.I've been using the seat for about 4 months now and my daughter is totally comfortable in it. (She commutes an hour each way with me 2 days a week too!) Plus the seat fits securely in my small car, matches my black cloth interior nicely, and most important, I can tell that my daughter is safe and protected.We like the seat so much that my mom bought an identical one for her car and then they gifted us a second one to put in our truck! So now we have 3 of these in the family!I'm really happy that there is an affordable car seat that doesn't compromise on safety.

I'd like to preface this review by stating that I have a compact car(Ford Focus, for those curious). I also now have two of these in by backseat(forward facing).First, the pros:-Incredibly easy installation and removal. When I drop my daughters off with their babysitter, I also have to drop off the carseats. It takes me 3-5 minutes tops to get both carseats uninstalled. Takes slightly longer, like 7-10 minutes to reinstall, but only because I climb into the car to put weight on both carseats to tighten accurately.-It's comfortable, and that's straight from my 4 year old's mouth. Her old carseat(a Safety 1st model) felt incredibly hard and the straps always dug in. This carseat is much better. I drove from the East Coast to the West Coast and she was very happy in her carseat and fell asleep.-Strap adjustment and replacement(if you had the one before the recall), is simple. If you are having issues with uncomfortable straps, I strongly recommend buying strap covers. There are pink ones that match this carseat too!-Lightweight. I am listing this as a pro because I frequently have to remove and carry these carseats when I drop off my children. I can carry both easily.-It's actually an incredibly cute design.Cons:-The old straps that came with this carseat before there was a recall had an issue where they would loosen, or the buckles would get stuck. Don't worry--this model comes with the new straps, and Evenflo will send you replacements for free if you have the one before the recall.-Bulky. While I can have two of these installed in my backseat, they swallow my backseat. Luckily I only have two kids and I don't need to use the middle seat. I can still fit a diaper bag and/or purse between the seats and that works fine. Because of the bulkiness, however, I imagine that installing this carseat in the rearfacing position might be an issue. My car is compact so that's mostly why I bring it up.I will amend my review if any issues pop up. I've had one of these for almost a year, and the second for a week, no car wrecks.

I purchased this car seat for my 10 month old who still needs to be rear facing. I drive a yukon xl and it fit great! It buckles easily and secures her in very well! Money was not the issue for me, safety is my main concern. I was at target about to buy an Eddie Bauer car seat that was almost $200 when I saw this one. I compared them, came onto amazon to read the reviews, I found they were very comparable. Amazon was $20 cheaper than target + I have prime... So I figured I'd try this one and if I hated it I would go back and get the Eddie Bauer one. I am so pleased with this car seat! Super easy to install, easy to adjust straps, easy to get baby in and out, soft padding, very comfortable! Great value also!

This seat is quite good and sturdy. It supports ISO fix too. I feel this is better built (for side impact too) compared to my previous seat (Mothercare Seville Car Seat).
