☆☆Edit☆☆My unit ended up growing mold while running!!! I'm not sure how this happened, as to our knowledge there is no mold anywhere else in our room! Our room started smelling like mildew and mold. Upon further inspection, the blower fan for the air-conditioner had mold growing on the inside of every single blade and it had started to grow on the fin things that direct the air flow. Thankfully we had purchased a protection plan and they refunded the purchase price of the machine for me to purchase a new one. Be wary! It kept our room cold, but at what health cost?I've never bought anything like this before. I live in an apartment with one wall AC unit in the living room. My bed room is good sized. Is say 20'-10' give or take. This unit keeps my bed room so cool!! We used to sweat EVERY SINGLE night. It was miserable! This unit saved us ! We set it to 70 and it keeps us super cool and comfortable. The remote works great for if we get too hot or cold (mostly cold, lol) I read a lot of the reviews about it being loud and even with the condenser running, its quieter than the wall unit in the living room. The only con to this is the window kit. It definitely could have been a little more well built. My window opens right to left instead of up and down. The screw holes just weren't spaced for the height of my window. The instructions were also unclear. Pretty sure I didnt use the foam stuff correctly (I used it to insulate my window kit) but I did not see anything in the directions about it. But seriously. 9/10 just because the window kit was slightly off and the instructions need to be better. Would not stop me from purchasing again.

**edited to add that my electric bill tripped from when I was using my window a/c.This ac is a bit loud, but super effective. I live in a small 2 bedroom, 2 floor apartment and it does a good job at keeping the entire apartment pretty cool even though it's located upstairs in the master bedroom. Humidity levels very day to day here, so the water tank has not overfilled to where I've had to drain it, although it's been running for 2 week's straight. Instalation was also a breeze. Would definitely recommend.

Edit: July 6, 2020After less than two months the Ningpu 12000btu portable air conditioner has stopped performing as well. And, of course, we are past our eligible return date. Even before the temp has increased to 90+ the unit began functioning more as a fan. The compressor does not kick on as often and sometimes not at all, greatly decreasing the amount of actual cool air it puts out. Even when the compressor kicks on the air is no longer cold, just cool. It most definitely does NOT come any where near cooling our living room. Actually, the only way to benefit from the unit is by sitting directly in front of it. It is just as loud as it ever was, and, to make matters worse, our electric bill went up $70 as compared to when we were using our actual A/C unit. To summarize: two months old, only occasionally puts out cool air now (not cold), raised our electric bill, super loud.The Ningpu 12000btu portable air conditioner works great at keeping it cool in here. We just set it up last night, but so far it has made a big difference in the temp in half our house (our house is not big and has an open floor plan). It is 82 here today and feels like 85 with 62% humidity. We have the Ningpu set on low and at 71. After only about 20 minutes, it is 73 according to our thermostat.However, it is VERY loud. Louder than I expected. We can still watch TV but the sound bar has to be set to at least 4 to even begin to hear what people are saying. But I guess to be comfortable in the summer heat until we get our AC unit replaced and not have a big window unit sticking out the front of our house, we can deal with the noise.The remote is very simple to use.Installation was a bit of a pain. The horn that attaches to the window plate would not go on the exhaust tube. We ended up having to secure it with white duct tape (not quite as noticable). The window plate was too wide for our window and we had to cut down the back sliding plate to get it to fit. We have standard size windows.I'm giving this air conditioner 4 stars instead of 5 because of the noise and installation issues. I just hope it's awesome performance in cooling keeps up.

Works great, loud but a probable near requirement of conditioning the air across heat exchange surface areas then moving the air through filters, the room via fans. I ordered an adapter for the sliding door of my apartment and got the wrong diameter fitting. The unit sold here came with one fitting, not tall enough for my 8 foot or so sliding door. THe Sliding door adapter I ordered was a different diameter dryer/air conditions vent pipe so I had to utilize several different parts cobbled together. My apartment has a bar installable between the fixed side of the fixed window and the handle area U reciever adapter near the handle of the sliding such that if you drop a bar between the fixed window across the sliding windows to the handle area the door can not be forced open. THis is necessary because the vent pipe adapter does not allow the sliding door to reach the normal latch area.

I've had this for 2 weeks now and it works great! I love that I can use it with my sliding window and can move it from room to room if necessary. The remote control is a great feature.

This does a great job at cooling a room and being portable is great. Although you can move room to room, you’d have to take the window vent each time or purchase one for each room. The downfall to this unit... the noise level is fairly extreme. It’s in my living room and I have to blast the tv to hear above it. Overall I would recommend this purchase

Man we really needed this thing when it finally got here only the fan works and now we're hustling with the return which is taken too long very unhappy.

I put this air conditioner in our sunroom which gets hot in the summer. While it is a bit noisy I don’t mind because we can now use the room in the summer and my kids can play in there. Installation was pretty easy too!
