This Sandalwood was way better than a silly 5ml brand that I got for half of the price!! 13 dollars of nothingness compared to FOUR ounces of beauty. I love sandalwood because of the sweet woody aroma. I find it blends beautifully with patchouli, frankincense, jasmine, lavender and vanilla essential oils. I use sandalwood for body oils, scrubs, hair treatment and aromatherapy. The vital health benefits of Sandalwood are as follows: Antiseptic – This oil is a good antiseptic agent and is safe for both internal and external application. It helps protect internal wounds and ulcers from infections; when applied to skin, it protects wounds, sores, boils, and pimples from getting infected. Anti-inflammatory – The essential oil and paste are effective as anti-inflammatory agents. They have a cooling effect and relieve all types of brain, digestive, nervous, circulatory, and excretory system inflammation, which result from infections, fevers, antibiotic side effects, insect bites, wounds, and poisoning. Antispasmodic – This oil works against spasms and contractions by relaxing nerves, muscles, and blood vessels. Astringent – Although very mild, sandalwood oil can induce contractions in your gums, muscles, and skin, offering benefits like better muscle strength and a tighter skin. Deodorant – There are individuals who use sandalwood oil to relieve body odor. Disinfectant – Its fragrance keeps microbes and small insects away, which is why it is widely used in incense sticks, sprays, fumigants, and evaporators for disinfecting large areas. Emollient – It soothes skin, relieves inflammation and irritation, cures infections, and promotes a fresh, cool feeling. Expectorant – It is specifically effective in treating coughs, but it also fights the infections that cause the cough, cold, flu, or mumps. Memory booster – Sandalwood oil improves memory and stimulates concentration. It keeps your brain cool and relaxed, and saves you from unnecessary stress and anxiety. Tonic – It is soothing on your stomach and the digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems, helping them function harmoniously. I have also been burning a lot of sandalwood incense as a mood lifter and plan to use some of the essential oils in the oil diffuser and roll some of my own incense sticks. Sandalwood is amazing, this oil can last on my skin for a good 6.5 hours (so good) and everyone I hug loves the way I smell! So thank you Sun Essential Oils, I will definitely be purchasing this oil again!

It's a milder smell than other Sandalwoods and we love it.
This is my second bottle(,the first was a 2 oz) and Australian Sandalwood is our favorite among the Sandalwood's out there. It's not quit as strong as the others, and in my opinion just plain smells a whole lot better. And we use it in the diffuser, and in soap and bar shampoo recipes. In fact it's become the essential oil of choice all the way around. The whole family loves the scent . There's other things you can use this for and in as well, we just haven't done it....YET!! its good as an expectorant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, astringent as well as for many other things. We've been very pleased with this since day 1 of the first bottle, Now that the family has its signature soap smell that we all love, I can't imagine doing soap or shampoo for the family without it. As long as we can find this product we will be coming back time and time again to get some more. We love it.

This one is used in ALL of my Aromatherapy blends.
Lovely subtle woody fragrance, perfect “base note” for creating layered aromatherapy diffuser blends. Sun brand is distilled from “Santalum Spicatum”, Australian Sandalwood; a different from plant “Indian Mysore”. Australian Sandalwood is a much more subtle scent. This is my second 4-oz bottle order since January. It’s an economical balance for five months & hundreds of hours of diffuser run time. I also put drops of it directly on salt lamps to heat diffuse. With three diffusers and six salt lamps, I go through a lot of essential oils. If you want a subtle, grounding, “base note” that harmonizes with lighter EOs, I highly recommend Sun Organic. If you want a more robust “incense” scent, you’ll have to buy an “Indian Mysore” EO.

No Sandalwood scent, nope, none!
Bought Sandalwood. Sorry, but no scent except rancid oil. That simple, that bad.

Gorgeous subtle scent
I adore Sandalwood but its extremely expensive to get the stuff from India. This Australian oil is very nice but not nearly as strong as the traditional. That being said, for the price, its very nice. I just need to put a lot more to get the scent when making things, but I do believe its worth the small price.

My Favorite Scent of All
This is a great sandalwood oil. I have it in diffusers throughout my house because the aroma is so great. My only non-positive comment is the distribution of the oil. I have many 4 oz oil bottles and all but this one come with a plastic dispensing cap to deliver the oil to the diffuser by drops. This bottle is completely open. So if you are accustomed to graduated distribution caps to dispense oil by drops, you may end up pouring a quarter bottle out of this one before catching yourself. I love this oil but would prefer a graduated distribution cap so it is not accidentally wasted.

Sandalwood Oil
I've tried a few different brands of oil and this produce is by far the best one. The scent is strong without being overwhelming and you don't need to use a lot. The bottle is worth the price because it does last quite a long time. I wish this company would put out a smaller bottle for those of us who would like to experiment with different scents. Even though their return policy does not require that you mail back the product if you're not satisfied, it seems like a terrible waste to just throw it out. We all need to remember to be kind to our home - Earth.

It still has a nice fragrance and I am complimented regularly when I wear ...
The fragrance is more diluted than sandal wood I have gotten before, even from this same company. It isn't labeled as being blended, but I suspect it may be?. The reason I give it a 3 instead of even less is that I will only support sustain-ably grown sandalwood oils, as the old growth trees are almost gone. So if this has been diluted into a blend, I would pay more for the pure oil. If not blended, I will have to get used to the lighter smell of this oil from young trees. It still has a nice fragrance and I am complimented regularly when I wear it. The price is very reasonable and worth every cent. I have not found any other Australian or other sustainable grown sandalwood oil that is even close to the price of Sun Organics, except for blended oils. I will most likely buy more when this runs out as it is the only game in town for the price and sustainability.
