Great hat, well made, fits fine
UPDATED REVIEW: I absolutely love this hat- I’ve been using it while on vacation in Cambodia and it’s perfect. Before going out I pour water in it and let it get it completely soaked, then when I wear it the water evaporates and cools the hat (and my head). The sunshade also keeps my neck nice and cool as well. I couldn’t be happier with this hat! Great hat! This hat fits well and is made of a nice, semi-stiff fabric that holds its shape. I like that the brim has snaps on each side so you can clip the side up. The neck shade keeps the sun off the back of your neck, which is the main reason I purchased the hat. The version I got has a solid top and sides but they also make a model with vented top and sides (using a mesh fabric). For $9 this can't be beat- this exact same hat is priced from $15 to $24 at other places.

MUST HAVE FOR OUTDOORS!!
I bought a similar hat before, with a black headband, the black headband left black marks around my head. THESE hats have tan bands, they fit perfectly and with a string adjuster, they can be tightened or loosened. The brim is very wide, perfect for the Florida sun. Open mesh design reduces sweating, They shade your whole face and especially your neck. GREAT HAT, GREAT FIT, GREAT COVERAGE AND SUN PROTECTION

Nearly Perfect Summer Hat
I bought this hat to keep the sun off my receding hairline while riding my bike, a task it accomplishes adequately. Though the sides of the crown are made of mesh fabric, they don't let enough sunlight in to burn my scalp; the fabric screens the sun, while letting the sweat wick away without accumulating. And the neck flap keeps the sun off my neck, preventing that dread consequence of outdoor exercise, redneck disease. The fashion lately in men's hats runs toward narrow, curved brims. This hat has a brim broad and flat enough to effectively keep the sun from my eyes, letting me ride without getting blinded, and keeping most of the bugs off my face. The one shortcoming I've found is that there are no brim snaps or other ways to adjust the brim, so if you're riding with the wind, you definitely want to use the chin strap, otherwise you'll lose the hat. Basically, it does nearly everything I expected. It's lightweight, keeps the sun off my neck and my increasingly exposed scalp, and it doesn't cause sweat to pool around the hatband like some hats I've had before did. If it had brim snaps, it would be perfect. Even as is, I enjoy it and use it regularly while riding, because it frees me to ride without worrying about scalp burn. It's a nearly perfect utilitarian summer-weather hat.

Mostly pretty satisfied with this hat right out of the shipment
I bought the "Light brown", which is the same as the "Khaki solid", but with a mesh-sided crown. Side ordered: XL, because my noggin is not huge, but I rarely fit into women's hats -- I'm probably a 7-1/2 or 7-5/8 (60cm), so I erred on the side of too big vs. too small. Hat color looks pretty true to the picture, a nice darker khaki. Hat arrived flattened but not folded. It seems like there's cardboard in the brim to give it stiffness, so I probably will not fold it. The brim isn't lying flat right now; but I think with an iron set to "steam" that I will be able to easily remedy that and make the hat look sharp. Note: the piece of fabric that hangs down in the back to protect the neck/whatever isn't removable. I guess you could roll it up inside the hat, but doing so doesn't look/feel great. So I cut mine out, and I'm going to do a quick series of stitches to make sure any remaining hanging cloth stays tucked up inside the hat and looks tidy. I put out a lot of heat through the top of my head, especially when hiking, so my main concern was to get a hat that could both shade my face and allow my head to 'breathe'/sweat. I've been wearing it around, nothing too active yet, but it's been pleasantly lightweight and breathable so far. (We'll see after a couple weeks of warm weather!) Note: one seam on the side of the hat has about an inch of loose/unraveling stitching. Since I already plan to do some stitching to fix the remnants of the cloth, it's no big deal to fix that for me, but if I wasn't handy with a needle, I would be annoyed to see that. Chin strap is decent length, but doesn't have anything to keep the slider button from falling off the end. I've tied a knot in mine to prevent myself from accidentally yanking it off the string. For $8.99, I think it's a great price for a hat that I hope will see me through warm weather on vacations (or as needed in daily life). Hat looks good and fits better than most similar hats I've tried on in various shops.

UPDATE to Delivered flattened and roller up!
The vendor contacted me after reading my original poor review to let me know Amazon sent me a counterfeit hat. I did not receive a hat manufactured by JFH Group as ordered. The vendor offered to send me a replacement authentic hat. After receiving the hat I can see that the JFH hat is superior. You can see too in the attached pictures. Notably, the JFH hat has finer stitching, the brim has a reinforcing yet flexible board to help keep it's shape, the pipe of the hat is also reinforced, the hat material is not all wrinkly (I ironed the counterfeit hat but that didn't help at all), and the size is more appropriate for XL. I applaud the vendor. A great value. A fine product. I change my rating from 1 to 5 stars.

but the brim of the hat feels like it is made from cardboard
I think this fall into the "you get what you pay for" category. The overall stitching of the hat feels secure, but the brim of the hat feels like it is made from cardboard. It holds it's shape, but I'm not sure what will happen if it gets wet or needs to be washed. Another thing to consider is that the hat has snaps on the side so you can fold up the the sides for a more streamlined look. Good idea, but not implemented well. When you fold up the sides the snaps are in the wrong place. You need to force the brim to get the hat to snap. In addition, the "cardboard" brim is so stiff that the snaps occasionally come undone. With all that, I do recommend this hat is you need a cheap way to keep the sun off your face and neck. I purchased mine to work in the garden, not for public fashion. If I get a season or two out of the hat, for the money, I'll be a happy gardener

Add +10 to Sunlight Defense
Find yourself gardening or often outside in the deadly laser beam also known as the sun for hours on end? Then you might be subject to the dreaded side effect called "Sun Burn". As someone with delicate skin, handed down through generations of white and pasty ancestors, I roast like a stuck pig if I'm not careful. Recently I even experienced quite the nasty bit of sun poisoning to my crown, and so I had enough of the sun's abuse. This hat is perfect for what I needed, providing ample protection against the harsh UV while still allowing my head to breath. The brim is wide enough to keep away any pesky sunlight, while the mesh cap is like an open window on a breezy day to keep the top of your head cool. The cape in the back helps to keep your neck covered and away from being exposed, and if you do happen to want to take the hat off the under neck string lets you just push it back and let it rest on your back. I experienced no issues while wearing this hat with sunglasses or earbuds for my music, and in fact the only thing I found slightly discomforting is if you push the hat down a little too much you'll end up squishing you ears down.

Great Quality - Looks Good - Runs Large
Top notch quality. Looks like Indiana Jones! Beware, the hat runs very large. I return the large and reordered a medium. Even the medium is a little big. I am thinking the size is large to accommodate those who want to tuck the neck protection flap in and wear it like a regulat hat ... this is actually a great idea ... so, buy a size smaller than your normal size. Also know the hat has snaps on both sides so you can fold up the side brims ... not sure why, but I'm guessing it's for those that want that Australian bush hat look. Anyway, I'm very impressed with this hat ... at any price ... just happens this hat very, very inexpensive too.
