Comfort first!
Perfect for our lab! Made his recovery way easier then a traditional cone. Our lab would fight getting his cone on but not with this one! Well worth the money!

Great cone alternative
This is a great cone alternative or to have in conjunction with a soft side cone. The main thing is to get the right size. Not too big where it can slip over the head and not so small or tight it doesn't work.

It has its benefits. Looks more comfortable for the dog.
My dog had TPLO surgery. He destroyed two types of cones. Even once at the veterinarians. I would’ve given this five stars if it was a way to keep it on when I’m not watching him. This does make it easier for him to eat and to drink instead of the normal cones. I do recommend it, but you really should watch what your dog is doing. The cone type ones can work, but I had to use duct tape to keep it together. I probably could do the same with this. That way the Velcro not come off.

Not for my Labrador
I measured my dog’s neck, and according to the measurement, he needed an extra large. When I first put it on him, it seemed extremely large. However, I used the hoops for the collar which made the pillow fit around his neck just perfect. However, my lab was still able to reach the incision between his legs which completely defeated the purpose of the pillow. Bummed it didn’t work for us. It appeared to be comfortable for my dog, and he did not mind it at all. The quality of the product seem to be good as well.

Easy to use but check the length of your dog's snout
Easy to use and put on your dog. If you're trying to prevent your dog from reaching its front paw, only thing to keep in mind is whether your dog's snout is long enough that this inflatable donut won't prevent it from reaching the paw with its tongue. In my case, my dog's snout was too long, and to prevent her from licking her front paw she had to wear both the plastic cone of shame as well as this donut. She looked ridiculous but it worked! (For 56 days, believe it or not!)

Fashion Choice of Dogs Everywhere
Long story short...get the MIDOG Pet Inflatable Collar... Your dog demands fashionable attire and the plastic Cone of Viciousness just doesn't cut it. I understand perfectly. Our border collie, Emmet T. Dog (named after a famous scientist) has a yearly trick. He doesn't have many tricks but this is one.... Each year when flea season starts, even though he has no fleas thanks to a state of the art flea collar...he scissors and or yanks all the hair off his rump, legs, tail...whatever he can get to. (He only does it when no one is looking...like overnight.) We suspect he believes it will make it easier for him to get to the non-existent fleas. Pretty smart, if you ax me. However, he starts looking chic mangy. So this time around I decided to intercept. I got out the cone of viciousness we got from the vet one time and stuck it on his head. He gets it at nitey night and whenever we are away. As others have stated under oath here...it's a mess. He keeps running into things. Also makes a ruckus at 3AM. So in comes the MIDOG Pet Inflatable Collar. The thing is hard to blow up. At least mine was. If you have a large kid around let THEM do it. Otherwise it's great lung exercise. You will get it to 80% though. Just takes a little time. And then it's all the fun. We found that it is best to thread the dog collar. You can attach without it with the handy strap included...but it doesn't really work well. Now for the best part.... Emmet seems to actually ENJOY wearing his MIDOG Pet Inflatable Collar. Yes. Enjoy. No more racket. No more fuss or running in to things. And he likes the thing. Makes a great muzzle rest. Can't ask for more than that! It's always good to be rewarded with success after laying out dough to purchase something sight unseen. So for peace of mind, yours and your dog's......get the MIDOG Pet Inflatable Collar. You'll be thanking me!

Never had opportunity to use
Unfortunately my dog passed away before I had the opportunity to even take this out of the package, giving five stars because I think these items are better than the plastic cones

Dog can still lick herself
My Great Pyrenees is 125 pounds, she went in for spay/mass removal surgery and we needed something to help prevent licking. Unfortunately she is still able to lick herself, I'm not sure if she is just too big for it to work properly. She does seem to enjoy using it as a pillow however. The stitching is starting to pull apart after about 3 days of use but again, she is a big girl. Hope this helps someone. Update- customer service is awesome and reached out to provide a full refund.
