I am familiar with Kirkland food products and from the reviews I decided to purchase this bottle of vanilla erxtract. Usually, I research the brand I am purchasing before I buy, but not this time. Crazy me!Then I decided to first, taste it and compared it to my almost empty bottle of the most expensive brand—you know the one with the tan label from Madagascar—and much to my surprise it tasted better at least to me.Then I decided to Google the ‘Top Five Vanilla Extracts 2024.’ What a found was surprising. On five lists of the top five, Kirkland was number 1, number 2 or number 3 on all five lists. And this one-half quart bottle priced very cheaply was the clear winner in my mind. What I had not known was the fact that the price of vanilla extract had come down exponentially since the ravaging damage done to the crops several years ago.In fact, that other brand I mentioned which is usually rated ‘#1’ was rated either #5 or not in the top five at all. That is a big downfall for that company.The Kirkland Vanilla Extract is full-bodied, a super-great taste and an aroma better than some great wines. This is THE ONE to buy.

This is a very good product, AND at a very good price!

I usually purchase my vanilla in Mexico. This bottle seems rich enough. One issue I have is that it is in a plastic bottle. I have always purchased in glass bottles. The smell is okay. The taste is a little rough. I would recommend as long as only used in non essential dishes
