Ultra Swim Chlorine Removal & Hard Water Treatment Moisturizing Shampoo, 7 Ounce

I had green hair recently because of some pool filters not being cleaned correctly , not from chlorine but algae and debris in the pool. I have highlighted hair and all those strains of hair were green after swimming with or without a swim cap. I took my chances on this shampoo to remove it and honestly I did not think it would work. IT WORKED !! It took 3 shampoos to do it but it did work! It was a great price for removing all that out of my hair so this is a great product!! I recommend it 100%!! I will keep it on hand in case I want to remove anything from my hair that was not suppose to be there it also made my hair feel slinky smooth , healthy and smells great! Thanks to whomever made this it was a life savor.

This conditioner really helps remove the chlorine after swimming and leaves my hair soft. The only downside is the smell it’s a bit unpleasant when you first apply it. But once you rinse it out, the smell goes away and my hair feels clean and smooth again. Overall, it works great for swimmers who need something gentle but effective.

Great for families with avid swimmers

About three weeks ago I started to swim 1 hour per day, 6 days a week, in a chlorinated pool and after 1 week I realized I needed a chlorine removal shampoo. I been using Ultra Swim for two weeks. This product is amazing! There's no comparison between what my hair was like with "normal shampoo" and Ultra Swim. This shampoo does what it says it does. Hair is not crunchy or cached with chemicals after using this. Highly recommend if you spend a lot of time swimming in chlorinated pools.

Nothing compares to this stuff. I've been swimming and using it since the 80's. I see complaints about the smell. I guess I'm weird because it reminds me of the perms of my childhood. I swim 3 to 4 times a week, and my hairdresser says that my hair is in great condition. I've tried other brands, but keep coming back to this one because it works.

My mom used to buy this for my sister and I back in the 90’s when we were in high school and on the swim team. So when we joined a pool and tennis club and my hairdresser began to complain about all the chlorine in my hair when I’d go see her at the end of the summer, I decided to see if this stuff was still around, and sure enough it is! She says my hair feels healthy and she can’t feel the chlorine. Score! This does a great job of removing chlorine and preventing the dreaded green color build up. It smells great and the price is a no brainer. I read some reviews where people complained about how “expensive” this was, and for under ten bucks, it’s a deal. We went to the pool about 2x a week during the summer and I would use it about once a week to prevent buildup, so not everyday, but it’s was enough to be effective. There’s plenty of it left even after my son and I both used it, so I won’t have to buy more next year.

Update: I decided to give it a few more tries. The smell continues to be disgusting. But after four washes (I wash about 2x/week), my hair is softer. The shampoo seems to be working to get rid of hard water buildup, so I added a star. My advice is to rinse with vinegar after washing, or use a pleasant smelling leave in conditioner to cut down on the damp sweater smell that lingers till hair dries. Original review: This clear and very runny shampoo is formulated to remove chlorine and mineral deposits (including hard water I'm told; the bottle doesn't make this claim). I used it once with no discernible difference to my hair texture or shine. One use may not be enough to gauge whether it works. But the smell is so appalling (can't describe except to say it definitely smells like chemicals, and not nice ones) I'm probably not giving it a second go. Even after rinsing thoroughly, my hair smelled like wet dog and medicine cabinet.

This product helps reduce chlorine buildup in hair, and even helps reduce brittle hair and fading of coloured hair.

I had a terrible issue with the chlorine smell from my hair after using other shampoos – this one works best for sure. Best after swim shampoo I could have found.
