Excellent whetstone. Just don’t be silly and keep it dry. It is not a “wetstone” :-) Once I went crazy and sharpened all the kitchen knives with this, we had a few small accidents, like slicing top of the nail off. This makes knives super sharp! Watch some YouTube videos to get the angle right (essential!) and forget you have ever ever even looked at the pull through sharpeners. Great value for money. Grab one and have fun.

For the money absolute brilliant stone

No instructions or guidance to say whether they must be saturated prior to use, as with whetstones. The knife guide is being worn away by the stone. I have returned to my old whetstone and roller guide and have put this one in the "emergency backup" box.

Ho messo 4 stelle anche se non è semplicissimo l’utilizzo, è veramente difficile inserire il scalpello perfettamente in asse, dev’essere un problema del supporto che non stringe perfettamente a squadra rispetto al piano abrasivo….. comunque affila bene.

Bonjour, j’ai bien reçu ma commande à savoir un ensemble de pierre à aiguiser, +guides mais le guide d’affutage pour ciseaux à bois est manquant !!! Seul le guide pour couteaux est livré ainsi que le socle avec les pierres….je suis extrêmement déçu car mon achat était essentiellement axé sur ce fameux guide d’affûtage pour ciseaux à bois! Que dois-je faire pour « récupérer « ce fameux guide d’affûtage pour ciseaux à bois???

Une seule roue donc problème d'équilibre lors de l'affûtage.
