Exactly What I Needed for Outdoor Protection
I installed this on an outdoor outlet I use to power my Ring cameras and Govee lights. The old setup was exposed and looked messy — this cover instantly made it safer, cleaner, and weatherproof.Installation was super straightforward. It comes with multiple faceplate options (I used the duplex one), a gasket, and clear instructions. I had to snap off one of the plastic knockouts to fit my heavy-duty extension cord, and it handled it perfectly. The lid closes flush even with both plugs in use, and the extra-duty rating gives peace of mind during Houston’s crazy weather. If you're plugging in anything outdoors — this is a must. Way better than those cheap flip covers. Highly recommend.✅ Code compliant✅ Fits bulky plugs✅ Heavy-duty construction✅ Looks clean and professional

Perfect Solution for Outdoor Outlet Protection!
These weatherproof outdoor outlet covers are exactly what I needed to keep my outdoor electrical outlets safe from the elements. I live in an area with unpredictable weather, from heavy rain to extreme sun, and I wanted a reliable solution to protect my outdoor outlets. These covers have been perfect! The installation was incredibly easy, and the covers fit securely over my outlets. They’re made of durable, high-quality materials that feel like they will hold up to years of use. I love the fact that they are designed to be fully weatherproof, and the seals are tight, so no moisture or debris gets in.What’s also great is that they allow for easy access to the outlets without compromising the protection. The hinged design is convenient, and it’s simple to plug in appliances when needed and close it back up securely. These outlet covers give me peace of mind knowing my outlets are safe from rain, snow, and dirt. If you need to protect your outdoor outlets, I highly recommend these weatherproof covers. They do the job and look great too!

A great outdoor weatherproof outlet box at a very reasonable price!
Excellent quality. Easy to install. Plenty of options for mounting.I'd foolishly been simply placing a bucket over my the outdoor GFCI outlet that was mounted to a post several feet from my swimming pool. Have probably ruined 3-4 good five gallon buckets over the years that got brittle and busted from a combination of being constantly exposed to super chlorinated water (used it to mix my powdered chlorine granules before adding to the pool) and sunlight.I spent the $7 and picked up one of these. It was super easy and straight forward to install. Looks very nice. Does exactly what it should do... keeps my outdoor GFCI outlet secure and protected from the elements. Doing it the other way not only cost me a few good five gallon buckets over the years, but three different GFCI outlets that went bad due to exposure. I figured this would be the last time I wired in a new outlet and decided to put the proper weatherproof box on it.

Good Stuff: Cover easier to open, easier to install, less pieces.
I like these for 3 reasons: 1) They fit on metal outlet box and 2) They have the plastic covers for 1switch/2 plugs/1 GFC plug in one piece (not so many pieces). 3) The removable tabs to get cords out from side, not just the bottom is safer. It is higher above the ground and rain water is less likely to get inside this box for my location. 4) Opening and closing this one is easier than all the other ones. Other ones need a pen or screw driver to push up from bottom to open the lid. This one is easy to open with hand but snug fit. This is good I think, will see how it holds over time. The cushy insulation is not trimmed and it hangs outside. Functionally better but aesthetically a minor blemish.

Easy to install and great to use if you understand two things first before installation
Good product. It fits great on outlets cut into siding on the side of a house. No problem there. There are a couple of considerations. First, You most likely need to pop out the existing and installed hard, rigid plastic plate inside the box. If you have a square outlet (example: GFI) or a rounded side outlet-pick the right black plate supplied and put it inside the box. Instructions are meager. It says snap in place but it simply fits and will be loose until you fit the eyelets over the screw heats and put down. You do not need to remove any outlet mounting screws but you do need to loosen them out a bit to fit the cover over the round screw heads and then fit the inside black plate you are using to match the design of your outlet. Everything gets moved to one direction so the screws travel into a narrower channel of the eyelet. You will see. Tighten screws. Be sure you left the back foam cover on the box. Second, before you even do anything, use needle nose or flat nose pliers to remove the punch outs for your cords. It is MUCH harder to remove the punch outs when the box is installed. It is much easier to hold the box in your hand and wiggle and pry the punch outs out. If you follow the sparse installation instructions, there is no mention of the punch outs needed to come out. Obviously there are two outlets so remove both punch outs unless you think no, you will never use two outlets at once. If you do not remove the punch outs, you cannot close the plastic cover and thus you are defeating the purpose of the cover. Third, It is a little unpleasant to snap in the clear plastic cover hinges onto the cover's hinge rods. you have to come in at the 2 o'clock position forward and push. You will have two snaps and do not panic. That means the hinges are in. There may be a small potential to break the hinges. You do not need lots of pressure. Just a small amount of firmness. The good news is once you snap your cover on, you know the drill and any other installations come easy. Be sure to install the punch outs facing down. That means you have the box right-side up
