WEN CL436R 4-Inch Right Angle Clamp for Woodworking and Pocket Hole Joinery

Works as they should. I debated on purchasing these clamps until I put a driver bit into my thumb while trying to hole the material with standard clamps. Definitely worth the money.

This clamp is a wonderful time saver for pocket screw L type joins. It works best when you have made two pocket holes close together. You align the boards then place the slim side of the clamp into one of the holes and engage the clamp. This keeps the boards in position while you place a screw in the other hole and screw it into place. Release and remove the clamp and the other hole can be screwed. The clamp is well made and very sturdy.

I have been messing with pocket hole joinery for a little while and finally decided that I needed to buy a right angle clamp after one too many boards twisting on my as I was screwing them in place. I could never bring myself to spend money on the equivalent Kreg clamps before, but came across these and figured it was worth a shot as I have had success with other Wen products in the past. I was slightly worried about these clamps due to them being so much cheaper than the Kreg brand. I was pleasantly surprised. I have never tried the Kreg clamps so can’t directly compare them, but I can say that these clamps are extremely well made and have a real quality feel to them. They are very heavy duty, have a nice grip to them, and I have had no complaints about their clamping power. I built some garage storage shelves out of 2x4s using pocket hole screws and these clamps helped me keep everything square every time. If you use pocket hole joinery at all these clamps are definitely worth the convenience. I can’t imagine the Kreg clamps being worth the extra cost over these.

My first clamp face fell off a week after I purchased it. Wen quickly sent me another one. The product works flawlessly. i wish Wen had a clamp to the Kreg Micro Jig. It holds the boards tightly together as needed for easy pocket hold joining.

Nice and sturdy. Long enough to clamp and 3.25x3.25 wooden leg onto a 1x4" maple wood that has pocket hole to drive a 2.5 inch pocket screw.

This clamp really worked well. Surprised given the price point it is set to. Very sturdy and easy to operate. Helped a lot with my most recent project.

Beefy, holds fast and I’d love to buy a similar one but with two discs.

This is a great clamp for much less than the name brand one. It fits nicely in the pocket hole and clamps one piece to another so you can concentrate on driving the screw into the other pocket.
