You always wonder about the quality (and taste) of a pre-packaged meal. I will say this: while the inner liner may be a little tough to open when your meal is ready, it tells me the product is sealed safely! Read KJ's story and you'll understand the strict adherence to quality and faith in the making of their products. 4 Methods of warming the entrée are included in the instructions: microwave, boiling water, hot plate, and traditionally on a Blech. The ingredients list does not read like some science project from a traditional food plant, which is fantastic. Portion size is good too, I've got the beef stuffed cabbage, turkey shawarma, and beef steak with veggies in front of me as I write this, all checking in at a full 12oz. Everything of theirs I've tried has been yummy, and the company is responsive to email inquiries. Will definitely buy more, and proud to be supporting our Jewish brothers and sisters in the KJ family!

Nasty Kosher Beef Pepper Steak & Rice, MRE.. not remotely edible and tossed the six meals after opening and trying two different packages. Simply looked, smelled and tasted like dead animal carcases.

Meal size is larger than other similar Beef Pepper Steak & Rice meals so ideal in hiking as you regain energy. Texture retains the veggies taste. More unique than other travel meals. As in other meals rice tends to either be soggy mush like from the sauce or the texture leaves a bit to desire. Value is near 4.5 stars, if you crave Beef Pepper Steak this tastes better than MRE pouches that are salty. The package can be reheated in a flameless heater bag even though the instructions are geared to home use vs outdoors.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Kosher, sterile, shelf stable!! Have sent to friends when they were sick. Have donated to food charity. Have shared with local Rabbis and our Jewish Temple. SO FABULOUS!!! I ate these when a hurricane struck and I was without electricity and much of my food spoiled. These are shelf stable and you can heat with candles, very hot running water and meat thermometer . Highly reccomend to send to the sick, to send to synogogues and churches. DELICIOUS!! HAVE Ordered many times. LOVELY VARIETY!! GREAT FOR TRAVEL!!! Happy Passover!! Mazel Tov!!!

And definitely not worth the money

The concept is great for travel and where kosher food is hard to get. The product was easy to use and convenient. It was edible and for intended use—on the go travel—it was okay. I wanted it as a quick meal option. Based on that, it was satisfactory but not something I would necessarily buy for regular daily use.

First of all, I'm not Jewish, and I don't care about the kosher rating of these meals. I understand they are also great for shabbat meals for the orthodox, but again that is irrelevant to me. I am a prepper who can't eat wheat, meaning most MRE meals (and most freeze-dried prepared meals too) are inedible for me. So I started looking for alternatives and chanced upon these on Amazon. I wanted good meals that last a long time without power (these have a 4-year official shelf life and likely will last longer if stored well). I was initially initially attracted by the nutritional information for most of the meals (they are calorically dense and have plenty of protein without being high-carb), but turned off by the cost. These meals are EXPENSIVE, especially in small quantity. I mean seriously, $15 for one meal?!? But I decided to try a 6-pack each of Rib Steak, Pepper Steak, and the variety pack (bringing the price per meal down to $8.33 (still expensive, but not so outrageous). In terms of flavor the best meal for sure is the rib steak. It was a wonderful blend of deliciously spiced portions and I loved it. This meal (Pepper Steak) was tied for second place with the Chicken Chow Mein. These three were also the most nutritionally complete/balanced in my opinion. I was NOT impressed by the Beef Stuffed Cabbage or the Beef and Lamb Kabob (neither was as tasty(though both are palatable), and both are lacking nutritionally). I did not eat the Chicken Meat Balls meal because it contains wheat. I will definitely be buying a 12-pack each of the rib steak, pepper steak, and chow mein in another couple months. I also intend to try a 6-pack each of the Turkey Shwarma and Stuffed Chicken Breast. Sadly, I can't eat the beef or chicken cholent. Overall, these meals are excellent and I will buy more. This flavor is one of the best. If the price dropped a bit (particularly for the single meals) I bet more people would try them and come to love them.

Quick use, heat and eat product with a variety of flavors. Nice price, fast meal and tastes alright.
