The indoor and outdoor sensors give accurate readings for temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and even the moon phase. Having purchased this weather station on the back of several good reviews, I was surprised that not one of them mentioned the fact that the backlit display only stays illuminated when the unit is plugged in. If running on batteries, the display goes dim after 15 seconds and you have to touch the top of the unit to light it up again. Although this unit comes with a USB lead, it does not include any 5V power supply so you will need to provide your own if you want to keep the display lit all the time (which I did). Follow the instructions step by step and the unit is reasonably easy to setup although I did find that when I tried to adjust the time on the unit afterwards, that pressing the setup button on the back didn't do anything and it was necessary to un-power the unit and start setup all over again. Also I concur with other reviews that question the waterproofing of the external sender. To be on the safe side I have put insulation tape round the battery compartment joints on mine before putting it outside in the rain! These gripes aside, the weather station is really quite good with just the right amount of information displayed very clearly (some other units I looked at were just way too confusing). Inside and outside temperatures seem quite accurate and time will tell if the forecast feature is correct. So all in all a bit of a mixed bag but for £25 you can't expect everything so still worthy of 4 stars.

The station arrived promptly and was well packaged. Set up was relatively easy, although the date/time aspect was a tad mysterious at first I achieved it after a couple of attempts. The readings seem accurate. The particular feature that I found disappointing was that although the screen is bright and clear to read, it remains lit up only for 15 seconds before going dark. This is on battery power. It is then necessary to press the 'relight' button to get another 15 seconds of illuminated screen. I have set up a small battery cell to allow me to read the screen fully and leave illuminated if I wish. A really good piece of kit but an odd bit of design to limit the screen illumination to 15 seconds only unless it is connected to a pack or mains electricity.

The barometric pressure reads approx 20mb below actual pressure and no instructions on how to correct. Apart from this works wee although main panel showing weather conditions is somewhat cluttered.

Seems ok, until to turn it on and realise the display is garbage. Unless you have it at the exact perfect angle the numbers appear very faint and grey, and if you increase the angle by a tiny bit the numbers disappear !

Bought this to replace a weather station I had for a number of years. Similar functions, temperature readings seem accurate & it is easy to set up. Quite difficult to read while running on batteries. Tap the top & it lights up for 15 seconds - would prefer longer. Clear, sharp & easy to read when lit. A USB cable is supplied but no plug. I'm happy with the purchase & seems a good wee weather station for the price. Only minor grouch is that it isn't technically a colour screen. The colour is a print out with glass on top that gives the readings. That being said it's a good station for the price hence the 5 stars.
