BEST GIN ALTERNATIVE
I have no idea what the other reviews are talking about. The taste is exquisite. Gin is generally my first choice/go-to spirit, and while this gin ALTERNATIVE does not taste exactly like gin (BECAUSE ITS NOT), it does have a wonderfully pleasant taste on its own. I generally mix mine with some fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and a splash of sparkling soda. It makes a FANTASTIC mocktail. I will never go back to any other nonalcoholic brand. This is my honest review, i have not been paid or given anything in exchange for this review. I purchased this (and every other spirit by ritual) out of my own pocket. Give it a try! It won’t disappoint

Cloudy, viscous, and oddly flavored
I enjoy gin for its complexity and variety. I love a good juniper-forward gin. I like my gin neat, in a dry martini, and I prefer a gin Rickey to a G&T, because I don’t want the sugar to overpower my gin. In an effort to cut down on my alcohol consumption, I explored zero proof “gin alternatives”. Most of them I did not like, and I’m sorry to say that Ritual is the one I liked least.I was a bit put off by the cloudiness and viscosity. And while I appreciate the juniper-forwardness of it, I found the pepper-as-alcohol-standin to be too clever by half. I like pepper, but I didn’t enjoy it here. I’m working my way through the bottle (nice think-glass bottle, btw) because I don’t want to east but the only way I ca stand this is with tonic and lots of lime. Lots and lots of lime.Honestly there is only one gin-alternative that I like, and I really like it. I won’t name it here, but I think what that one got right, and Ritual and the others get wrong, is that it doesn’t try to taste like gin. Only gin tastes like gin. The one that I like is gin-like in that it is a botanical distillate, only without alcohol. No hot-pepper burn, no pine or juniper, just a lot of flavor and complexity, and is perfect with club soda and a hint of lime, or even straight up with a twist and a dash of bitters.Different people like different things, so maybe you will like this. But I have to say that in trying to be too much like gin, Ritual makes a strange and not terribly enjoyable gloopy goo.

Ritual Gin Alternative - This is actually really good!
I was skeptical to try this because I have heard that booze alternatives just miss the mark. I have quit drinking for personal reasons but I really missed my refreshing gin and tonics. So, once I was past the really "desperate" phase of quitting the drink, I decided to give this a chance. If you're looking for a burny alcohol smell and mouth feel, this is not for you. I enjoy tonic on it's own with a squeeze of lime, but it was just missing something. So, when this arrived, I was excited to see if it would make a difference. I used 1 1/2 oz of Ritual with 6 oz of Fever Tree Light Indian Tonic and a wedge of lime. I am really pleasantly surprised. Ritual adds some depth to tonic - herbal for sure with a touch of cucumber flavor at the end. Even my husband enjoyed it. It's not exactly a gin taste, but it's really close. I took it one step further and tried it with about 5 dashes of Fee Brother's Gin Barrel Orange Bitters. It's perfect...almost like nothing is missing. For the price and experience, I will definitely buy this again.

It does not taste like real gin ,but I Iike the flavor the way I mix it.
I zest limes into ice cube trays and fill with bottled lime juice. After cubes are frozen, I put 2-3 cubes in a cocktail glass, add Ritual Gin and diet tonic water to taste. Very refreshing in front of the fireplace (10 degrees outside) but can’t wait for summer on the patio!!

I purchased this to have an alternative to alcohol in my G & T. It's OK, but too pricey to buy again. Give me the real thing in moderation.

Other products are good, but the Gin is not. Can't return item to Amazon.
I truly love what this company is doing by making zero-proof spirits, providing an alternative to alcohol. To be fair, I've tried the Ritual Rum which I'd give 4/5 stars. It mimics the smell, look, and taste of dark rum very nicely. Their tequila I'd give 3/4 stars, as it has a little "bite", looks and smells like tequila, but it is a little more watery. I bought the rum and tequila from different sources so I didn't review these two on Amazon. Now, the gin. This was the product I looked forward to most, since it's featured first on Ritual's website as award winning. Unfortunately, it fell far short in look, smell, and especially taste. Other reviews are correct in saying it has an odd taste which to me, doesn't taste like gin at all. I do not recommend the gin product at all.IMPORTANT TO KNOW: When buying directly from Ritual, they have a satisfaction guarantee on their website. I recommend buying directly through them. When you buy via Amazon, AMAZON WILL NOT LET YOU RETURN THE PRODUCT. This is not listed anywhere on the product description or ordering page. When I tried to return the gin, I fell into an infinite loop and could only resolve my issue via a chatbot. Refund is still pending.

Not an NA G&T candidate.
Let's get straight to the first point that drives me nuts with video reviews I have seen with NA spirits - these products are not designed to be sipped straight. They are meant for mixing with the intent of replacing alcoholic spirits and give a comparable flavor experience. My first forray into these alternatives was with a company whose name begins with an 'M'. Satisfied with'M' but looking for a cheaper alternative, my wife and I tried Ritual. The scent is very piney and not so junipery. The botanical list includes green peppercorn and must be intended to add some mouth feel, but not one I enjoyed. My first G&T resulted in tingling lips and a tongue as if I were drinking a weak jalapeño beer. Not what I am looking for in a G&T. The flavor matches the scent in that you taste pine and not juniper. While almost half the cost of 'M', 'M' is much preferred by both me and my wife. I will finish it eventually. May be a good candidate for an NA Red Snapper or other drinks with many other contributing flavor profiles.
