The Not so Secret Crush!
It is now Reid's turn for love against the Curse! Classic movie story. Reid falls for girl, Eve at age 13. She also does the same. Fast forward 10 years. Reid is there on the day of her dad's death anniversary. He meets her at the cemetery. Later they do shots and dance together. They wind up at her place. Fast forward again...Reid has a problem with self sabotaging everything he does...it seeps into relationship with Eve. Fast forward again. Reid's Dad decided to open a restaurant. He wanted Eric & Reid to be the Chefs. Eric found out Reid and Eve were dating and forced Reid break it up. Eric told Mr. Knightley he would not come on without his sister since she was almost done her Business degree.Just after the soft opening of the restaurant and the threat from Mr. KNIGHTLEY to all 3 to get it together or they were all fired.Fast forward again and I love this because in this book his family was more involved than in Rogue's especially Brig. They are all there as he proclaims his love to Eve ( and used Brig's lovemaster planning) Does he get the girl back well you kind of have to read!Highly recommended! 10 out of 10

So angsty
Eve is a Saint, she puts up with Reids ridiculous low confidence and allows him multiple times to crush her. This book stretched my patience, but loved the intimate and loving and funny parts. Of course I will read the next in the series.

Laugh Out Loud Funny if a bit raunchy
This book had me rolling. Not just chuckling to myself. Straight up, tears pouring down my cheeks and blurring my vision belly-laughing so hard my sides hurt and I woke up my sleeping family members, guffaws. Seriously, if you want an ab workout from laughter alone, this book is for you UNLESS you are offended by graphic sex, sexual innuendos that border on harassment, cursing, etc, but if that's the case, why are you even considering a Meghan Quinn novel? Seriously, take your pearl clutching elsewhere. Don't say you weren't warned. So why am I giving it 4 and not 5 stars? The immaturity of the "keeping their relationship a secret" annoyed the crap out of me. It felt high-schoolish. I get that they're young and inexperienced, but if you're stating from beginning of the relationship that you want more than a doing, why hide? Then, there's Reid. Oh Reid. I know this guy. I've dated this guy. I've fallen for this guy and been burned because in real life, they rarely actually mature. The rollercoaster just perpetuates. I had a soft spot for him, and it's nice to see one of these guys get an HEA, but I spent a lot of the book wanting to punch him in the teeth. Eve too. She's a good match for him. All of that I could overlook, but the over-justification of why they love each other and are so perfect together at the end really got to me. It's clear that they love each other and choose each other. That would have been enough without all the embellishments. The other thing that's gotten to me for all three of the first books in this series are the constant picking on Brig, the youngest Knightley. It often feels more like bullying, which I detest. I can't wait to read his story.Overall, though, I'd read this book again just for the laughs and the series because the characters are endearing and very human - flaws and all.

Another Knightly breaks the curse.
Reid and Eve sure didn't have an easy ride. Meghan Quinn delivers as usual a really good read. I'm spending too many nights forcing my sleepy eyes to read. You just can't put these books down. Can't wait for the next book.

A swoony, steamy, hilarious, friends-to-lovers romance
I've been counting down to the release of this book since I finished Rogan's story and it didn't disappoint! I didn't think much about Reid's character when we meet him in the first two books. He's known for not being able to take much of anything seriously, so I was surprised by how much I connected with his story. Fair warning: out of all the books in this series this has the most sex scenes and it gets pretty steamy up in this read. Reid's character has zero filter and he does lay it on real thick with the sexual innuendos etc., so if neither of those are your jam, then this book might not be for you! Safe to say, this best-friend's-sister/friends-to-lovers story would be a 6/5 on the steamy scale (for reals).I was so invested in Reid and Eve's romance and individual characters. Eve was such a likeable female lead! I loved and admired her strength, patience and kindness. She has such a big heart and works so hard to find her own success. I felt so proud of her for stepping up for herself and making her dreams come to life. There were times I wanted to give Reid a good shakebig ass slap for not treating her better but I did recognise how well they fit together. This was a definite yin-yang balancing personalities type of relationship and I was rooting for them 1000%!I can understand that Reid's character might not be likeable to all. His type can very easily fall on the side of way too much, but lucky for me, I didn't feel that way about him. He's obnoxious and his sex-crazed comments are so eye-roll inducing, but at the same time I also couldn't help fighting a constant grin/laugh every time he'd say something completely ridiculous. Underneath that aloof exterior there's a guy with a heart of gold and good intentions, who's plagued by past mistakes, and whose insecurities have stopped him from moving forward. The loss of his up-and-coming restaurant caused him to lose so much and he stopped doing what he loved most: cooking. My heart went out to him and his feelings of self-loathing and inadequacy. He does make a lot of mistakes and it frustrated me quite a bit at times, and while it does take a while for him to get his head out of his ass, I thought Quinn did a great job with his character growth. You can really see the change that happens in him and his way of thinking, and it was really satisfying to watch unfold. I love how learns to acknowledge that he has a lot to learn (especially about love!) but he doesn't put himself down for it the way he did at the start.I will say that I was not a fan of Eric and what he said and did. I have never felt the need to sucker punch someone so bad--he was (as my friend Joanna likes to say) a total dill weed! I feel like his character really got off easy with both Eve and Reid because they both have kind hearts--I'm so petty! HahaBefore I wrap this up I also need to mention how that epilogue literally gave me life. I was cracking up so hard that I'm surprised my neighbours didn't tell me to shut up. All I know now is that I need Brig's story yesterday, even if it means that this series will come to an end! I just closed this book and I already want to be back in Port Snow and the Knightly family and friends again. I can't wait for more!

Favourite
This is my favourite book of the series, I loved Reid and Eves, story I did want to slap Reid though, he was also so funny to be fair the banter is good with all the brothers and I cannot wait for Brigs story.Reid has lost himself and doesn't know how to find him self or even know where to start, but he definitely has a one track mind that's for sure and he's funny with it. He has always had a secret crush on Eve but she was off limits because she is his best friend's twin sister.Eve is a feisty and she knows what she wants and she has always wanted Reid. Loved this story and would highly recommend, I did read and listen again and the narrators were most certainly the right ones for the characters.

She's done it! Again!
I really love this author and this series that centres around a group of brothers and the "curse" that grips them after a fateful night in New Orleans. This instalment centres around Eve Roberts and her brother Eric's best friend and former business partner (and current curse receiver) Reid Knightly.Eve and Reid have been harbouring very secret crushes on each other for years, but never done anything about it, until they come together. The conflict in this one is a little hackneyed, but damn Meghan Quinn writes so damn well, I don't even care. There's so much drama and angst and I was here for every single bit of it.I want more of this world and more Meghan Quinn right now.

OMG SIMPLY BRILLIANT
I have loved reading about Griffin and Ren and Rogan and Harper but reading Reid's story has been what I think the best.I so fell in love with him and his battle of trying to find himself. So, so glad he chased after Eve and that she eventually let him back into her heart so that they could have their beautiful HEA.The Knightly family are just so lovely including Ma and Pa. These boys and Jen have been so well brought up you have to love them all. Can't wait until we get to read Brigs story and I feel his story will be hilarious because he has such a romantic heart and wonderful feelings.

great series and very funny
Reid and Eve have been friends since they were kids and it's taken years for Reid to find the courage to act on his secret crush. This book had me really laughing, the text banter between the brothers and sister is hilarious it just gets better with each book in the series. I'm downloading the next one now as I absolutely love this series. Megan Quinn has a fantastic sense of humour whilst working around the paths of true love, brilliant.
