For an amazing lawn year around. Had trouble keeping lawn green and had many dead spots in my lawn. This stuff is great it will turn the dead spots and yellow grass lush green. Use it in October after lawn goes dormant and your lawn will look summer green all year long. Neighbors make fun of me painting my lawn but it’s because it looks so good.

I love having a green lawn and keeping it trimmed meticulously. I am literally obsessed with my lawn and care for it. Recently our area has been in a drought and water restrictions have been placed. On the curb (which was always hard for my irrigation system to hit and where dogs LOVE to do their business) is where I tried first since there is where it took a beating. It looked amazing! I decided to then apply a lighter coat (a little more water in the next batch) to cover my front yard since it needed only a little help in some areas. It did cover most of it but saw this color was a little too dark (fairway) for my established lawn. I would probably recommend for a whole front needing the help and starting fresh. My next purchase will be the in between shade (premium light + dark) for my whole front and backyard. I feel you can start lighter and go darker with another application if needed. Be careful with the sprayer you purchase. If it leaks in any way, it will dye whatever it touches. I was able to wash away a few drip marks on my brick walkway when I added warm water to it. I couldn't get to the sidewalk area in time. I do recommend not using a hand pump sprayer if your lawn is large. I purchased an "electric" rechargeable sprayer which slightly leaked (and caused the drip marks). I also will apply the next batch on a cloudy day because I felt the sun messed slightly with me seeing the true color when applying. Overall an amazing product doing what it states. One last remark... I have a dog with white fur. I did keep her off of the lawn for more than the recommend drying time, 2 hrs (I waited 5) and her coat was still white! Get this product!! Worth every cent.

I only gave this four stars because I want to wait to see how long it will last. I will update my review once I know.I bought this to cover up damaged areas from vegetation killer overspray and some dog pee stains. I mixed it in the kitchen sink by filling the gallon sprayer with water first and then mixing only 3 ounces of the colorant with water in a glass measuring cup and then pouring that directly into the sprayer. Very easy and not at all messy. 3 ounces vs the recommended 8 oz per gallon was the perfect color match for my perennial rye lawn. It covered nicely in one coat and I only needed a gallon of the mixture to do my entire front lawn and all the spots that were damaged. I did get a couple of drips on my concrete curbing, but it easily cleaned up with Dawn Power wash. I will definitely be keeping this in my landscaping arsenal.

UPDATE 2: (Feb. 13, 2021) I will update my rating and add photos in two weeks - after I retry and compare their two paints. --------------------- UPDATE 1: (Feb. 12, 2021). Customer service was VERY HELPFUL and is sending me two containers free of charge. I might have gotten a bad batch or such. They say that never happens. Either way dormant (light yellow) grass might require 4 times the amount versus non-dormant grasses if using their perennial rye type. --------------------- Feb. 11, 2021 MAIN COMPLAINT: It looked REALLY GREAT immediately after I sprayed it. But the paint's color seemed to disappear about 24 hours later. Confused, I frustratingly sprayed it again. So that is two layers of this stuff now. (32 fl oz/gallon). 48 hours later and it still looks super faded and I still see the dead white/light green grass. I don't know what to say. Is the dead grass absorbing all the color?! It shouldn't do that. I live in Northeast Florida and have various dead and bad rye grasses. For me this product is like the disappearing ink you bought as a kid. Very upset. It DID NOT rain any day and I sprayed it around 5 PM every day. SECOND COMPLAINT: A gallon only covered 2000 square feet (not 5,000-10,000 sq ft as advertised) for me when using 16 fl oz per gallon with a quality sprayer. I used a measuring cup and big plastic red cup to measure. 3 days later, the lawn still looks like only 20% of what it looks like immediately after you spray it. Photos to come when I get a chance.

This stuff is awesome. Due to drout conditions almost year round in my community, my grass doesn’t get much water other than rain and kind of goes dormant a few months at a time. I used this spray now for two past seasons (two separate applications). My lawn is the best looking one in the neighborhood, and I have received a letter of appreciation from my HOA. My neighbors asked how I kept my lawn so nice considering the drout conditions. I tell them…I painted it, and they laugh. But, I’m okay with that, mine still looks better than theirs by far. My best application of this product was to do a half dose rather than full strength as the natural yellow parts of the lawn can peak through and make it look as if it was lush green grass. This product is amazing and well worth the money.

The product review stated the color would not bleed off; however I now have a green dog, green couch and a green dog bed. Talk about the Grinch at Christmas- and the stain does not wash out!
