Couldn't be happier!
Just received the Invincia Stealth in the mail and gave it its first test run. After a solid several minutes of testing it out, I've got to say that I couldn't really be any happier! The pen is beautiful. It has a good, solid heft to it and feels extremely well made. Solid metal construction, with that amazing oversized nib (one of the things that really sold me on this pen in the first place!). It's glossy, so it will pick up smudges or fingerprints, etc., and that jet black glossy look makes dust really stand out on it as well. Not a problem for me, personally. I've seen a lot of people (not just here on Amazon) talking about how the cap just will not post at all, but that definitely isn't the case for me. The pen posts perfectly, and even has an audible click when posting. Haven't had any trouble with it coming unposted or anything. The sheer weight of the pen is fantastic, but I could sort of see it resulting in fatigue in people that aren't open to such hefty pens. You could always leave it unposted too, but much of the heft is still there. Personally, I love it. Just make sure you're in the market for a pen that puts some weight on your hand when writing. Writing with the Invincia Stealth is fantastic. Do note though, that the medium nib is certainly more like a traditional fine nib. It isn't a super wet pen, but I have yet to encounter any skipping whatsoever. The nib is super smooth, although I have noticed that mine gets a bit scratchy when writing particularly fast, but it's not that unpleasant. Just an observation. I will probably end up ordering a stub nib for it, and maybe even a broad nib as well sometime in the future. The pen came with the converter seated inside, empty. It also includes a few ink cartridges (which are very small, mind you), but I made sure to pick up some Noodler's Bulletproof black ink as well. The two work wonderfully together. I only have two other fountain pens. One, a Lamy Safari, was a gift, and I've had nothing but problems out of it. The other is just some Sheaffer pen I picked up at Michael's for $6 (which, ironically, writes beautifully with its stub nib!). I just got a new job and decided to splurge on this pen, and I'm very glad I did! If you're looking for an amazing, sleek, extremely well-made fountain pen but don't want to spend a huge amount of money on it, I would strongly recommend the Invincia Stealth!

Not the Perfect Pen, but a great value.
I like this pen - this is my first fountain pen, I'm going to take it point-by-point. For data, I've been writing with it for about two weeks now. I will update the review if new issues/pluspoints arise as I use the pen. - This is a Medium Nib. - The pen comes in a Monteverde box and includes two Monteverde cartridges as well as their signature threaded cartridge converter. - Writing: Overall the pen writes smooth - when it gets dry it can scratch the paper, however, the scratching isn't that annoying. I had better luck with the Monteverde Ink than I did with the Noodlers. When I first started using the pen, I had Noodlers Bulletproof Black Ink, I had the issue where the pen would write great when you first inked it up and then after using up the ink that was stored in the nib, it would dry out and skip like crazy - ink wasn't flowing from the converter. I called up YAFA and explained the issue to them and they told me that Noodlers inks had a higher pigment content and that could be the cause of the flow issue, I cleaned out the pen thoroughly and re-inked it, had the same issue, so I bought a bottle of the Monteverde Black ink - while this wasn't as intense a color as the Noodlers, it wrote beautifully - even a fast line drawn across the entire page came out perfect - no skips. So it is a good writing pen - there are better ones out there I am sure, but this one writes well. - Comfort/Function: The cap posts well - I read reviews that the cap didn't post well and this may have been true, but they now have a plastic lining inside the cap that grips the body of the pen when you post it and it holds onto the pen very well. I like the weight of the pen, I have been writing with a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck for the last 5 years and this was a bit heavier, but I like it. The grip on the pen is also formed in such a way that your fingers do not slip on it. The slip is also tight and it stays clipped to my shirt fine. - Durability: The pen is solid metal - including the cap, it is painted with what appears to be a single stage (one coat of color that has gloss in it as opposed to a matte paint over-coated with a clear paint) black gloss paint. The paint has chipped a little on the ridges on the rear of the pen (where the cap posts) from the rubbing of the cap on the ridges - it's hard to notice as the chipping was small, so I'm not sweating it. - Customer Service: When I called YAFA (about the above problem), they were extremely helpful and told me that the pen has a lifetime warranty and if using their ink didn't solve it to send it to them and they would handle it. - Overall, this isn't the perfect pen, but it is a nice pen and I would take it over a Lamy Safari any day of the week. I'll update as I get to using it more. If you're looking for a decent pen for under $100 - go for it on this one - I recommend it.

A terrific pen!
This is my second fountain pen, the first being a Waterman Phileas (a great "starter pen" in its own right!), and I should also note that, as a cartoonist, I use these primarily for drawing and sketching rather than writing, if that makes a difference. That said, I could not be happier with the Invincia Stealth. Upon arrival, I immediately filled the ink converter with Noodler's "Bulletproof" Black, and noticed that the converter is threaded -- i.e., you screw it into the nib section, rather than just push it in. I don't know how common a feature this is among other pens, but I really love it as it ensures that the converter is seated securely, with no leaking. The nib is VERY smooth, and the ink flows nicely. Noodler's bulletproof ink is known to have occasional flow/skipping issues due to its formulation, and I had to dilute it a little bit to use in my Phileas. Not so with the Stealth; it went racing out of this pen without a hitch. I should note that the nib is not technically a "flex" nib, like a Namiki Falcon's; it's certainly springy enough to impart character to lines and letters to suit my needs, but YMMV if you're looking for a truly flexible nib. Being all-metal, this is a hefty pen...again, a feature that I enjoy, but may not suit everybody's preference. The quality of the Stealth's design and manufacture is outstanding. Its all-metal construction feels sturdy, authoritative, and speaks of longevity. The styling is contemporary, but respectful of the classic fountain pen aesthetic (no iPen, this -- I'm looking at you, Lamy), and the result is gorgeous. The cap and barrel are threaded in such a way that the pen closes with a subtle but satisfying "click". Ribs on the rear of the barrel ensure that the cap posts securely. And did I mention the threaded ink converter? It's evident that a lot of attention to detail went into the making of this pen. In sum, I am thrilled with the Invincia Stealth. I'll still use my faithful Phileas for odd jobs, but I very much look forward to putting the Stealth to work for me. I can't really imagine a better pen in its price range.

Slick looking pen with good writing feel but enamel flaked off within 9-12months
With Monteverde cartridges the pen did seem to be starved of ink. Parker bigger cartridges seemed to work better. Ended up going to a converter which makes it a lot smoother. Thought I'd give the blue / black ink a go but prefer the straight black. Cracking looking and feeling pen until the enamel fell off the copper alloy pen end where you'd grip to write. Very disappointing and unable to find on the site contact details to contact Monteverde / Amazon to see what could be done or if there was a batch of badly bonded enamel Invincia pens. Bit of a downer as is a good solidly built pen - just dubious manufacturing finish.

wow
Pen is quite heavy and writes very well. Looks sleek, very eye-catching when I pull this out to sign something. I did not care for the ink supplied and instead chose to use Noodler's with the supplied adapter. I think I have stopped my search for the perfect pen as of this purchase. Update: After using this pen for over a year, I've not had a single leak. I have had to occasionally clean the tip as it doesn't tolerate idleness as well as some of my other pens. Overall, I am still happy. 3 years later: Despite the finish wearing thin in certain spots, it still writes beautifully. I think i've taken about a thousand pages of notes with this thing and I have yet to not enjoy it. I've ordered another one to keep in a box for collector's sake. 13 years later: I still have this pen and im still writing with it. The enamel has worn off in spots but it's still a great pen. I've written letters to friends all over the world. I signed my marriage certificate with it. i finished college with it. I wrote journals and notes and rough drafts and essays. I've lost this pen twice once in another country.....and both times someone went out of their way to return it. Hopefully I'll have this until the end..and then pass it on.

My first fountain pen!
This was the first fountain pen I purchased. I have been writing with quill pens for years, just for fun. I am usually on the look out for the perfect pen that will write smooth and is fluid. I'm not going to say that this pen is it because it is not. However, will admit that I am on the lookout for a pen that writes as smoothly as the Zebra F-301 Ballpoint Retractable Pen, Black Ink, Bold, DZ - ZEB27310 . This pen comes pretty close to it. I love the fact that the body of the pen is completely black and smooth. The box that it come in is forest green and it comes with 3 refills and a converter which I thought was awesome! In addition to that, this pen is nice and heavy (if you feel comfortable with heavy, this is the pen for you). I got the medium nib because I write in cursive and I like thick bold lines and this pen delivers in that aspect. Moreover, the ink it comes with (mine came with blue) is pretty smooth and it writes fluidly. The nib does not scratch the paper either which is a plus for me since I write in regular school college ruled paper. I really love this pen and I take notes with it almost everyday. This is a great pen for starters. =)

Great looking pen let down by a faulty nib
Got the medium tip. Fantastic looking pen. High quality presentation and feel. Was very excited to put some ink on paper with it. Unfortunately it does not write well at all. What good is a pen that is skipping and scratching. Called Monteverde, explained I just got the pen today and would like a new nib. They asked me to fill out warranty papers and to send the pen back to them. Doesn't make sense to pay for shipping back for something like a faulty nib that is not worth the cost of shipping. Wait for service and then shipping back to me, follow ups, etc. I was willing to provide pictures of the skipping along with the receipt but still asked to send the whole pen back. Too much headache at this point. Hate for Amazon to bear the return for something that the manufacturer should be responsible for. Don't think I will try Monteverde again given the lackluster service from the company. Sure, warranty policy is the policy but I think they should have taken a more sensical approach to handling something like this.

Decent Mid-Range Pen
I decided to buy this pen for the looks and the generally good reviews that it received. Unfortunately, I wasn't as happy with it as I would've hoped. Although the pen is beautiful, it isn't the best pen to write with. First of all, I think it is very top heavy if you post it. This makes it difficult to write quickly and accurately. Not a big issue since I just decided to write without posting it. Another issue that I came across was the size of the nib. The nib is HUGE. It is so long that again, it is difficult to write quickly and accurately. Besides these two issues, the pen is "good" overall hence I gave it 4 stars. The nib writes smoothly and the feed keeps up no problem. The is a little bit of flex in the nib but you really have to push down on it. The converter that came with it is well built. It screws into the pen and you can completely disassemble it for cleaning purposes. It was perfect the first time I filled it (no air bubbles) which is something that I've had trouble with using Lamy converters. Also, I think this is one of the largest converters that I've seen. It holds a lot of ink! Overall, for a ~$65 pen, it's a good deal. The pen is very appealing to the eye and feels solid in the hand. Don't expect to be writing with it for a long period of time as it does get heavy and your hand writing will become chicken scratches.
