I'm bald. My wife is not. I bought these to have something to cover our heads and blend in with our other tactical gear. It's great. I love the weight of the fabric, which can be folded over if you want more warmth, or not if you want to keep it cooler. I've used it on hikes where there is a lot of wind and/or a lot of sun and I love the performance.There's a reason our boys and girls overseas in the armed forces have picked these up for hot climates - they work!Update 6/11/2011:HOT CLIMATES AND COLD CLIMATES BOTHI have used this to cover my head and neck in snow covered mountains in conjunction with a camo ball cap, and also a waterproof/breathable boonie hat. And I've used it in arid, hot climates as well.It works well in either.I have been amazed at how versatile and useful this one purchase has been. It's also great for your neck as well as your head. It works great as a wind-breaker, to keep warm, and to keep bugs off you.

Pretty simple and versatile piece of gear. Not much to say except that it functions as expected. I'll buy again after this one wears out. It seems good quality, but thin cotton fabric can only last so long.

You'll find a lot of different suppliers of these shemaghs online. This particular piece, is made in Pakistan/100% cotton. Very comfortable, plenty big enough, and overall.... a great appearance. I find walking in the winter time... hard; without my shemagh.One thing: as with 'all' shemaghs, hand wash/no dryer! This is the way the local central Asian people wash thier shemaghs, and if you do hand wash this piece, it will last for a very long time!!!I got the white and black, and it's true to color. I plan on looking for a gray and black one; unfortunately ....this seller doesn't have the gray and black. I'm currently in contact with a Pakistani supplier.

I bought this partially for a costume and partially for survival gear. Someone posted that the dye bleeds and man were they right! I soaked it in cold water in my sink and it instantly turned green. I rinsed it and actually hand washed it about 5 or 6 times and it still bled. It did not leave any colors on me after I wore it for about 5 hours so DEFINITELY pre-rinse or wash it before you use it or you will be a different color. The fabric seemed a bit thinner than the military issue ones but it still performs very well. Since I don't plan to use it daily I think it will be perfect.

This is one of those items that if you order it you know what you are getting. It was the perfect size if not a little big, but better to have to much as appose to not enough. It came out of the packaging a little stiff and slightly smelling of the die used, which was to be expected. Wash it once according to the directions and you have a soft product that you would not mind putting on your head. I use mine as a scarf in the cold month when on my motorcycle and it is perfect.

These are really handy to have and look cool to wear imo. I think many will be wearing them in days to come. Wear it as a mask to protect against dust or viruses/ or wear on head as a hat, very comfortable and warm and looks bad ass. 😎

Seems nice but sent the wrong color. More trouble than its worth to return.
