You’re the best! Around! Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down...
I suspect you are like me when I was doing this last week. First, I absolutely rely on REAL reviews. Here's mine:I'll start off by saying I'm an "athletic but not sporting a six pack" guy. I'm 6'7" 297 lbs and I've always struggled to find a pair of jeans that fit, looked good, was cut right and most important....Wasn't gonna bust through the seat of my pants cause I squatted down to pick something up.The 541 solves all of this. I did order the "one size up" rule of thumb that seems to be consistent on most of the reviews and seriously, here on a Sunday afternoon the mailman drops these off and I try them on and it's like I'd owned these badboys for years. Did a couple of squats and lunges and there's ZERO risk of ripping. I also sat and walked and did all sorts of day to day sort of movements and I can say that within the first ten minutes I knew I'd never need to worry about buying jeans again (and got a "wow those jeans really make your butt look good, great really.") Haha, I swear they better not even dream of stopping these. No more having my legs fall asleep from my thighs being cut off just to get a good looking bottom half of the jean. No more getting bigger jeans just to be all baggy and weird or have to pony up the cash to have them tailored to look like the 541's do straight outta the box...and it has that stretchy stuff which is amazing really, I'm kinda pissed I'm just now getting a hold of some jeans with it (fist raised in indignation!) Anyway, I digest.... Best o'luck to ya me matey, have yourself a swarshbucklin' good time!

Great Athletic fit style for big guys!
Really great pair of jeans!I am a big guy and usually buy my jeans anywhere from 50-52 in waist. I've been experimenting recently with levi's brand because they make the Athletic cut for big sizes now.And they are more form fitting and give less of that "trash baggy" look that comes with buying jeans as a big guy. I Love how they fit. You can always tell that they're big jeans- because at the end of the day, I'm still a big guy.But one interesting thing that I will note is that I decided to try to get a few sizes smaller to see if I could pull it off. I haven't lost weight or anything- I just ordered a 48 because with the Athletic cut jeans, no matter the brand, the cut makes it possible to actually wear/fit smaller sizes around your waist. Well I ordered a 48 and they fit amazing. But I dare say that I could even order a 46 to get a look where they me a tighter fit. As a guy who usually rocks 52 or 50, size 48 feels kind of loose. I like I need to tighten my belt.I know that they are a little on the expensive side. But if you can swing it, think of it as paying for quality and craftsmanship fitting. I am definitely going to order again and try for a size 46!

Levi's 541's give me Life!!!
As a big guy (a.k.a., a Fat A**), it's really hard to get jeans that make me look as good as possible, given my circumstances. Either (a) if they fit, they're too loose, either falling off the butt, or with legs that look like stovepipes (not a modern look!), or (b) if they fit legwise, they're unflattering in the stomach area, or cut into my waist, making wearing them torture.I almost wrote off jeans, until I read reviews for these guys. I'm glad I risked purchasing them. They fit like a glove, but are incredibly comfortable, and make me look good, with just the right length and legs that are NOT like a stovepipe (could be a *little* more tapered at the ankles, but MUCH better than any other jeans I wear, by orders of magnitude).Warning--some of the colors are 99% cotton, 1% Elastane (like the ones I got, Blue Canyon, and Rigid Dragon). These might be less forgiving size-wise (less stretch), but I lucked out, and these fit fine (just have to not pick up any more pounds!). Others are a 98/2% mix, and are more stretchy. If in doubt, go one size up.Bottom line: Buy these Jeans, now!

Beware of Rigid Dragon versions
BEWARE! the Rigid Dragon color of these Levi 541 jeans run AT LEAST 2 sizes smaller than the same 541 jeans in other colors. I tried three different pairs and compared them to several pairs of other 541s and EVERY Rigid Dragon pair was significantly smaller/tighter than the others. Contrary to the Amazon product details, they are not even made of the same material! The material in the other 541s is 98% cotton and 2% elastene while the Rigid Dragon is 99% cotton and only 1% elastic. Doesn't seem like much but makes a huge difference in fit and comfort. Perhaps this is a result of the fact that the Rigid Dragon jeans are made in Mexico while all the others are made in Cambodia. In any case, the Amazon descriptions are wrong as to both country of origin as well as the material composition and the Levi quality control/product consistency leaves much to be desired. Buyers beware.
