Outstanding belt!!
Well I rarely submit reviews but I thought this was well warranted. I used to buy belts at the big chain stores because it is all that’s available around here. Belts do not last me very long and I get approximately a year out of them or sometimes shorter. I would pay about $20-25 for a belt made in China. Well I got so discussed that I looked for something better and found these belts that are made in the USA. So I bought one and I think my first one I bought was about $30. It was not that much more than the cheap ones I was getting that only last a year. Well I know that it was an awesome purchase because it’s going on 8 years since my first belt from Main Street Forge and it’s still almost like new. I am not easy on these belts either. The belt not only holds up my pants, but it also holds up all the accessories I put on during my different jobs. Now I just bought this belt because I lost so much weight that the other belt was way too long. I added about 6-8 different holes as I was shrinking, but that belt is still like new. It’s absolutely incredible how long these last compared to the cheap garbage made overseas that you buy in the big chain stores. I have spent a little more upfront for the belt, but I saved so much money because I haven’t had to buy a belt since. So I am guessing I saved myself about $150-175 so far since I bought that first belt. If you are thinking about the expense of the belt, don’t think twice! It will pay for itself over a year or two. I will NEVER buy another belt made overseas! The value of these belts is outstanding as they will probably last me my lifetime and I tell you that I am extremely hard on my clothing! Do not hesitate!! Buy these belts. You will never be sorry!!

Must have belts for men - everyday and formal wear
Brilliant. Great quality. A solid purchase and great for everyday use; buckle is strong and the leather is thick and strong! Very good value for money.

Decent but not premium 3 YEAR UPDATE BELOW
I enjoy fine leather products and own several high end belts from some of the big-name makers, several makers of carry belts, as well as a number of boutique leather craft shops. I’ve been seeing this Main Street Forge pop up in my Amazon feed for a while and at 29.99 on sale I thought I’d give their everyday belt a try. I received it Friday and have worn it 2 10 hour shifts at work so far. The below are my initial thoughts. It’s thin. It’s lightweight. It’s very flexible. It will collapse on itself and certainly not hold itself up when buckled and held straight. This is a VERY light duty belt and I would not think of using it as a carry belt or for anything of weight. It is telling that the maker doesn’t list the leather weight in the description. For you leather rookies, 1 ounce of leather weight is roughly 1/64” in thickness. This MIGHT be 10 oz leather, which is pretty light/thin in the nice belt world. But, I just needed something for work that I wasn’t worried about messing up. I have a very physical job and am outside in the elements, sweating and getting rained on, greasy and dirty. I do not want to wear any of my more expensive belts in those conditions. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt them, but kind of like running that brand new car through a gas station car wash, know what I mean? It works for that. It seems a decent quality, well-built belt. After only 2 shifts I already have a tiny bit of stretch in the hole I’m using, and I think it will stretch more being so thin, but I expect this belt will last me a couple years and for $30 bucks that’s ok. I will say the black roller buckle impressed me and seems to be of excellent quality, almost out of place on this belt. If you just need a belt to keep your britches up, and nothing else, this will probably work for you for a few years. I don’t see this being a 20 year belt. And please, if you’re belt shopping for a very nice leather belt and considering some of the brands I mentioned above, don’t even bother comparing this one to them. It’s a decent belt, but not a competitor. 2 different ballparks. This is a decent belt that is certainly better than a big box store belt, but nowhere near some of the other big name leathercraft companies. It may be a good first-dive into the real leather world, but just know that it gets a lot better. Expect a 3 star belt and you’ll be pleased. Expect a Hanks or other high quality belt and you’ll be unhappy. If you’ve never had a quality full grain leather belt at all, you’ll love it. My wife loves the free sticker that came with it (which sucks for me because I liked it too lol) and the Main Street forge key chain I ordered separately as well, which I will leave it’s own 5 star review and I will probably use the $5 off coupon they included on another product, perhaps one of their more expensive, thicker offerings. In summary, it’s a decent belt for what it is, but don’t fool yourself into believing it’s a high-end belt. 3 YEAR UPDATE I’m writing this on November 28th, 2024 (Thanksgiving Day). I was just going through some of my old reviews looking for one in particular and saw this and thought I’d post an update. I’ve been wearing this belt daily for over 3 years and 4 months now at my heavy industrial job and it’s still going strong. I gotta say, I’m impressed and surprised. Yes, it has stretched some, probably about an inch as I’m on the next hole while still having the save size waist, unfortunately, haha. The edges are somewhat curled in on itself and it’s a whole different shade of brown after sucking up all the Florida sweat and grime from 3 years of work on the railroad. But it still works. I still stand by my claims of this being too light a belt for a carry belt but for a daily work belt, just can’t beat it. The thinness and flexibility are actually a good thing as it makes it more comfortable while bending, climbing, etc, especially as a big guy with a belly that hangs over my belt. I’m still impressed with the buckle, it’s been flawless. Increasing rating from 4 stars to 5. Well done, Main Street Forge.

Great Belt - Runs a Bit Small
I received my new belt yesterday. So this is my initial review. Looks and feels substantial and well-made. I like the way it feels. Seems very strong and built to last as advertised. My ONLY complaint out the gate is that the belt seems to run slightly small. It is suggested to order 2 sizes above your size. I would go more. I wear a size 36 waist jean pants. I ordered the size 40 belt. I wish I had gone at least to size 42 MAYBE 44, but 44 might of been slightly too big. The size 40 I have "works", but feels just a bit tight without much belt to work with. I plan on keeping it, not sure if the leather will relax enough to fit comfortably snug. At this point I don't really want to go through the hassle of returning and exchanging for a bigger size. Depending on the week goes, I might go 1 size higher, to 42. I don't leave reviews often. I want to support USA small businesses though. Especially, when they are selling a quality product like this leather belt. I have no disappointments about the quality of this belt and will buy again, or try a different style from this company. If you're looking for a sturdy quality leather belt, I think you will be satisfied with this company.

Disappointed
I wanted an American made belt. I bought the belt in 2022 and it was so deformed by October 2025 that I was going to replace it. I got on Amazon to make sure I didn’t buy the same one again and noticed that it had a lifetime warranty. After 4 or 5 messages and them wanting the old deformed belt back. I got one in the mail. It’s fine and brand new but way shorter than what I just returned. I don’t know if the old one had stretched that much or if this one is shorter. But it’s not worth the hassle to attempt to try to exchange this one. It would be a fine dress belt that you don’t really need to use everyday- I need one that I count on for all day every day use.

Just a couple thoughts about my purchase of your belt. It gave me exactly what I wanted, solid leather through construction, a buckle that doesn’t bind or bend when used alit. I bought this belt a few months ago and wanted to wait until I felt I gave it a workout, I have and I am very delighted with how well it has held up and still looks great. 100% sure if yiu want quality this is the place to get it.

Purchased this belt about 4 months ago. Initially loved it. Been wearing daily for about 4 months. Leather has held up well but the buckle is aging much more prematurely than I would have expected.
