Update. Package arrived!
My scarf has arrived. It was delayed because of covid-19 international mail issues. This seller was wonderful about checking and following up on my order. I'm very pleased with the quality of the scarf and I strongly recommend this seller. Customer service was fantastic. Don't hesitate to use him.

A very handy sheet of cloth
Ahh, the Shemagh...Purchased for all the things a shemagh can be; just a sheet of cloth with tassels, but potentially so much more.I admit to reviewing this after only a short ownership and only one wash, but I always update my reviews if needed. This then is a basic impressions and overview (for now). It's good quality. The subtle pattern isn't printed, it's formed from varying textures. Parts of the cloth are like thin towelling (see photos), which gives the shemagh a wonderful waffled feel.Looking closely at the weave and thread, it is (surprisingly) good. I was half expecting is to be cheap rubbish (worth a shot though), but it's really very good. For (black in my case) cotton, it held its colour well through a 40° intensive cycle, but obviously, don't put it in with your whites! There's really quite a lot of it, for storage in a pocket. Even tightly rolled, it's about the size of two full size tea mugs end to end.The waffled texture makes it rather good as a warm scarf, which is somewhat counter intuitive for cotton; it traps a lot of air when folded a few times. But it's still ideal for a lightweight head and neck cover in hot weather, and perfect for utilising evaporative cooling if it's very hot.Aside from all the things a shemagh can be (could get very long winded) - this is a good quality product.

Amazing value for money, good neck/face scarf
To add to my layers of protection when leaving the house for essential shopping, I order this shemagh in black. Purchased from a seller called Contact Left Ltd (not heard of them before) at a price of £4.90 it was worth a punt. The item arrived two days early that expect as it was dispatched by Royal Mail, Prime was more expensive and had it arriving end of April. For some reason Amazon is not allowing pictures to be uploaded, so I can only describe the quality. The scarf is made from cotton as stated in the description, there is no doubting that. I was afraid that the black colour would run, so I did a bit of testing soaking the end in water and trying to squeeze it out. I can report I have not experienced any colour/dye run.

100% cotton and good colour. Excellent price. Very happy.
I bought the black version and was very satisfied with what I received. the material is a good quality woven cotton fabric, 110cm x 110cm with tassels on 2 opposite ends. The shemagh has many uses which makes this a very versatile product for bushcraft/camping/survival scenarios, aside from keeping you warm on cold nights and cool on hot sunny days it has great first aid applications, great for towelling as it tries very quickly and so many more uses - personally I have also used these to help prop up a make-shift shelter with a stick so it doesn't tear my tarp. The colour is a very dark black which is exactly as I was hoping, it is lightweight yet it feels very warm when worn, and over all I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. Considering the price and with the free delivery option I took, it is a great bargain too.Very happy.

Terrible - the black colour runs really badly
I bought the black version and when it arrived I tried it on. It smelt strongly of chemicals, so I rinsed it. The water turned dark purple, as in the first photo attached. I know dark colours run, but this seemed a lot. So I rinsed it again..... and again.... and again.... After 20 water changes (literally) the water still runs dark - the second photo attached. Terrible, terrible quality - DO NOT BUY IT - IT WILL STAIN YOUR CLOTHES and god only knows what the chemicals will do to your skin. Had to throw it away - useless.

NOT sand colored - NO Tassels, so in fact NOTHING like the picture!
Ok, so this is not the first shemagh I've bought. The 'coyote' shemagh, I ordered based on the image is nothing like the picture or the light sand colored/beige shemagh I've had before. In reality it is dark brown/olive.(See the photo next to a sand beige/black shemagh for a comparison)Also the functional tasals which are integral to a decent shemagh are absent. Now as it was intended for use in hot summer desert trekking conditions, I need as light a shade of beige as possible to reflect the sunlight and help me stay cool, so this colour is of no use to me, as it will heat up in the sun like a radiator. And who wants to wear a radiator around their neck while trekking in the hot burning sunshine?I would return it, but currently I'm abroad and the cost of shipping means it's not worth the effort.
