they look good. if I put taps on the heels they'll probably last for a long time. I've worn converse sneakers for many years and usually wear a size 11, but, because so many people said this shoe fit large, I ordered a half size smaller. it's ok, I can wear them and each day get more comfortable, but, next time, I would buy an 11. since they're leather or faux leather ?? I can wash them, so they should continue to look good for a while. I like them enough that I will buy them in black, too.

They will last at least twice as long as normal Converse do because they are leather. Normally I have the sides rip out just from trying to put my shoes back on or slipping them off from being tired. That canvas is just weak. But leather stretches nicely, will not rip down the side. The only problem I get is, like on every pair of Converse, the eyelets get easily smashed due to the low placement. Whatever. Badass shoes for the buck. Normally $80 retail everywhere I go.

They were my favorite shoes for a while. I have a couple other styles of Chucks. In the second month of use, the sole separated from the rest of the shoe in the toe area. It would be cute if I wanted a shoe puppet but as shoes they are now unwearable. They have lived in my trunk ever since that day. I hope to one day buy some shoe glue and put it back together like Converse should have done in the first place.

Being a fan of Chuck Taylor's for a quite some time, I decided to venture into the "leather" world of Chuck's. My go-to shoe has always been Chuck's. Lets face it, they're awesome and they go with practically EVERYTHING! With that being said, I wanted to switch up the style a bit and figured with these leather ones, I will get more durability and longevity out of them.To my surprise they seem to fit ever so slightly larger than the canvas Chuck's. They don't seem as narrow as the canvas version. They do take more time to break in as opposed to the canvas ones. The leather is soft and in my opinion, they are sharper looking than the canvas ones.My only grip is that when you bend your foot, the rubber toe part digs in the top of your toes a little bit. When I go put my canvas ones on, I gotta say, comfort-wise, they are indeed more comfortable. That's probably because the canvas does tend to fit better with your feet.Also, I would add that the leather ones would probably go with more formal attire as they are "cleaner" looking.In a nut shell here's what I would say:For looks, durability and longevity of the shoe ---> Get the leather ones.For fitment, no sizing issues and comfort ---> Get the original canvas ones.

Been wearing these for a while and I have to say they still look quite nice. There are a lot of crevasses where the shoe can collect dust and small white particles but that is to be expected when you buy a black shoe with so many places for particles to collect. Cleans up easily though, and then looks brand new. Definitely recommend to fellows looking for casual shoes.

If you want to get Chuck's you need to get the Leather ones. Even though they aren't genuine leather, these things last 10x longer than normal Chuck's and they look 10x better when compared to other shoes that have been worn that long. My normal canvas Chuck's turned brownish after 2 years of wear, yet the leather ones are still beautifully black like the day I got them.

I got this for my boyfriend who has a Converse obsession and he absolutely loves loves them! They fit him great and are extremely versatile! He wears them on lazy days and on days he needs to be semi-formal. The dark leather is extremely durable and has lasted an entire summer in NYC with blistering hot cement and rainy days and nights. They're more than perfect!
