Creative Haven Wild Animal Portraits Coloring Book: Relax & Find Your True Colors (Adult Coloring Books: Animals)

I bought this book not realizing it was animal PORTRAITS but then when I looked through it, I realized that because it is head and shoulder portraits with nice flower or leaf backgrounds, it is just PERFECT for using colored pencils! For those of us into adult coloring books and the different qualities of colored pencils available today, it is a wonderful way to experiment with different kinds of pencils and shading techniques. This book is from the wonderful Creative Haven series, which is my favorite, and only $5.99 with 2-day free shipping if you have Amazon prime. Quite a bargain! I really liked the wide variety of animals and the beautiful, interesting drawings of animals of the jungle, desert, forest, rivers, and oceans. I wanted to review this book because it really shows off our coloring and shading abilities using colored pencils, twistable colored pencils such as Crayola makes, and even crayons! I am really enjoying this book and I hope you will too.

This is a great book of wild animals. I purchased this for my 10 year old Granddaughter who is an avid colorist and animal lover. There is a wonderful assortment of wild animals and habitat in this book which can be colored as you like. What we generally do is google images of the animal so she can choose her color palette and have a realistic picture on completion! I personally had no idea of how many varying breeds of lions and the different colors they have! All of the pages are one sided and are perforated for easy removal. The paper quality is good, no problems with it at all. Markers do bleed through but we have had no problems with colored pencils or gel pens. This is a great wild animal book each with a different and exciting page to color. A strong five stars on this one!

This is the perfect coloring book 8 year old son who loves animals. Colored pencils work way better than crayons for the details on each page. This keeps him occupied for hours, and he’s normally quite hyper-energetic. I am buying more of these!

The pictures are very large, with detail but not filled with unnecessary coloring. The pictures are realistic and on good quality paper, one picture per page. I use gel pens and they do not bleed thru.

It is exactly how it was described , it is a coloring book. The pictures have just the right amount of detail. Only 2 colored pictures, the rest are up to you. I'm pleased with the book, nice price.

I just love this coloring book. I use gel pens or color pencils and the beautiful pictures I created I can put in a framework and hang it in the wall. I spend at least one hour coloring to help me calm down and relax. I bought my adult daughter one and she loves it. I look forward to coloring every night. If you are looking for a way to calm down and relax I would suggest you buy one and start coloring.
