I've been buying this particular Otterbox style of case for my last 3 iphones and they protect your phone well without making it a lot bulkier. Eventually they wear out, but you get an easy year plus.The primary issue I have is that I keep my phone in my front pocket and after a year or so the rubber lip on the front wears down from rubbing in my pocket until its even with the front of the phone. So at that point you don't get much protection in case it falls on the ground on the screen. The second issue is that the thin rubber/plastic bit on the top of the charge port will eventually break off. Once this happens you might as well get a new one and it'll continue to break small pieces off until the bottom is worn away so the phone doesn't stay in well.But for any of these problems, I've usually had it way more than a year so I would consider it basically normal wear.These are pretty low profile and don't bulk the phone up. For someone like me carrying in a front pocket that's great. Also, over the 3 iphones I used this design case on I've accidentally dropped my phone probably a dozen times and never had an issue (except for the time I dropped the phone in the pool and that's not the case's fault).You can definitely get cheaper cases, but I think this is well worth the money.

I can attest to the effectiveness of this case as someone who has had their phone for 4 years and drops their phone ALL the time. My phone hasn’t cracked once. This case is miraculous. The design is also great, not too bulky with a great grip.The only downside is the rubber will wear out on the sides of the case after about two years, but by then the case has more than paid for itself from the number of times it’s saved me from having to fix a cracked screen. I will only be buying otter box cases from here on out.

Definitely recommend if you want protection for your phone but hate the bulky design most protecting cases have. heads up that this otterbox case is one layer of protection not 2 as others do. I like this feature but others may not due to preference. I prefer since it’s easy to install and deal with. It does have raised edges for your camera and screen. If you have a screen protector there will still be a rise that protects your screen protector but obviously will decrease due to your added layer. However the case edges are still higher then my screen protector which I like.The texture is high quality with rubber and smoothness. The installation is super easy and doesn’t have you wrestling with the case. The thickness makes me feel comfortable with the safety of my phone. I love the overall quality, formal design and duration of the case.

This is a really great and durable case for every day use. However, the raised edges could be a bit taller. I have a screen protector on the phone and it comes right up flush to the edges. This has caused my protectors to get cracks and scratches in them frequently. Granted, that’s what they’re meant to do, however I feel like if the raised edges were a bit taller the cracking would be less common. Other than that though, it’s a very reliable case. I would say it’s worth the extra money for buying name brand.
