Heart healthy and delicious.
I developed heart disease in 1996. Three angioplasties. Family history. A recent wellness health assessment from my insurance provider suggested I add dark chocolate to my diet. I asked my blood specialists, who concurred. I eat one or 2 pieces a day. A serving is 4 pieces. Just one is enough to satisfy the chocolate craving. 70% cocoa is the line for healthy, but still delicious chocolate. Over that is too bitter. My wife doesn't like dark chocolate and she won't eat it. You can easily develop a taste for it. Don't chew it. Put small pieces o your tongue and just enjoy it. I could easily eat 12 pieces a day. Love the taste. If you are worried about weight gain or sugar, one piece a day won't hurt you.

Former delight in product turns to doubt. Wait and see.
Please see review by K31Shopper--she explains, perhaps, the difference between my first and second shipments--other than that the third shipment will be $3.30 more. The price difference gave me enough pause to stop and think about the two orders: the first was wonderful, meeting more than my expectations for taste, health, convenience, portion control, and price. I fear that I was careless and did not pay careful attention to packaging and expiration dates the way K31Shopper did. I need to be more aware and careful. I have delayed the third order until September for the following reasons: several pieces so far from the second batch, including the piece I just opened, have that "bleached" look that chocolate gets from heat exposure or perhaps age, I'm not sure. Since there have not been many, I was prepared to ignore that problem by delaying my order until the September Subscribe & Save shipment. However, that dip in quality plus the price change plus K31Shopper's information gives me pause and the decision to delay delivery until I can read all the reviews. Also, I may be able to determine by looking at past purchases whether the vendors were the same for both of my shipments and the one with the 3+ dollar price increase. I know that food prices have gone up, up, up, but a $3.30 increase seems steep.

Chili and A Touch of Sea Salt Varieties
Both of them are rich, smooth, and creamy chocolates that melt in your mouth. l like the single square packages that make a satisfying, tasty treat. I break each square into 4 pieces and savor each one.The Chili variety is extremely mild. I had really hoped for more chili flavor and heat. If you are at all worried that these may be too strong for you, they're not. If you (like me) are looking for chocolate with a kick, you'll be disappointed. The Touch of Sea Salt have only a few tiny salt crystals. Since I use Das Foods Fleur de Sel De Guerande- French Sea Salt ; 6oz occasionally as a finishing salt, I expected the salt crystals to be a little more substantial. If you are concerned that these may be too salty, they are not.I normally purchase Lindt Excellence Supreme Dark Chocolate 90% Cocoa, 3.5-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12) which are, barely sweetened and take longer to melt in my mouth, so these are pretty decadent in comparison.According to the packages, a 40gm serving of these contain:220 Calories / 13g Fat / 2g Protein / 3g Fiber / 10mg Sodium (Chili) - 55mg Sodium (Touch of Salt)vs the 90% bars (which are healthier and have much less packaging waste) contain :240 Calories / 22g Fat / 4g Protein / 5g Fiber / 10mg SodiumA box of these chocolates would make a nice hostess or Secret Santa gift, and since they are individually wrapped you could set them out in a bowl for company, or put them in lunchboxes.

I <3 LINDT Chocolate!
This is deliciously smooth dark chocolate without compromising bitterness*. And you can taste the sea salt, too. If you like dark chocolate AND salt, this is sure to be a favorite.Their entire line of dark chocolate + (insert deliciousness here) is very good. Also be sure to read the ingredients. Lindt uses sugar, not HFCS.NOTE: I really enjoy the robust body of dark chocolate. If you enjoy milk chocolate but want to try to get into dark, you need to go with something with a smaller percentage of cocoa to start. This product contains about 60%.

Surprised shipped despite the best buy date near expiration.
Please don't judge Lindt chocolate by this review. I've bought Lindt chocolate from a local store and it was delicious. However, this is the first and probably the last time I will order these online. They were delivered very late and when I checked the best by date I only have a couple of months before the go bad. I thought this would be okay, however upon opening, I found that the chocolate was already beginning to have a chalky residue. The chocolate is okay, but not as tasty as the beautiful and delicious chocolate that Lindt is famous for.

old, badly stored chocolate?
These must have been old, and maybe stored too warm. The chocolate is tan and powdery. The flavor is very light. Each person in my office at 1 piece, and said it was bad. So I have taken them home, maybe I can cook with them.I also bought the "sea salt" version of these; the sea salt diamonds came fresh and tasted good, the box was eaten by coworkers. Very popular.

good quality, but a very basic dark chocolate
I am so used to buying the Lindt Lindoor Truffles balls, but since the high % cocoa ones are so pricey, I thought I'd try these which were a little more affordable. I have to say I was a bit disappointed, as there is just no comparison. However, having recently tasted a Hersheys dark chocolate nugget, I can say these Lindt Excellence are superior in comparison; Hersheys is more bitter & just seems low quality. These Lindt aren't really bitter, and they are low sugar....not really sweet at all in fact. A good basic piece of dark chocolate (but not at all like the luxurious, melt-in your mouth, truffles).

Great small indulgence item. Savory with a salty kick.
These are absolutely addicitve. I love these over the bars, as I wll typically just open 1 or 2 instead of eating half or all of a candy bar. I've historicially been a big fan of Ghirardelli chocolates, and recently found the sea salt offering from Lindt. It is great in that it's a little creamy without being too much so. It's relatively mellow for a dark chocolate, and then has the distinct bite of sea salt on the back end. These have become my go to when I need a little something sweet and delicious.
