Went to Italy a few years back and brought an adapter (I'm American) for my phone charger, back up battery, and flat iron. It was a single plug adapter and got very hot when I tried to charge my phone which really freaked me out. It was also very difficult to plug things into. Took a lot of force. This past July I had another European trip, this time visiting France, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain. I wanted a new adapter and came across this one in my search. The reviews seemed good enough so I gave it a try. It worked beautifully, didn't get hot while in use, and was easy to plug things into. Having two usb ports meant I could charge both my phone and my back up battery at the same time, which was very convenient for me. And the plug worked nicely for my flat iron. I will say it was a bit bulky to pack but that's understandable given what it's designed to do so I didn't really mind. Thankfully, I read some reviews that warned me about the very bright blue light that goes on when the adapter is plugged in. I was able to put a light blocking black sticker over it that made it a non issue. My friend (who I was traveling with) had an adapter with a light as well but she didn't cover hers. It was quite the nuisance as I imagine mine would have been had I not covered it. So, just a heads up to anyone purchasing this: black out the blue light. 10/10 would recommend.

I took two of these on my Royal Caribbean UotS trip for Memorial Day weekend 2025. I know RC rules are different than other cruise lines, but we encountered no issues. They worked perfectly, are reasonably priced, fit snugly into the socket, and were a great additional option during our stay. As others may have mentioned, the international outlets can be found throughout the ship, so keeping one of these converters with you may provide an emergency charging option when you are away from your room. As a disclaimer, your mileage may vary. Acceptance by RC could change at any time, but I am thrilled with my purchase and plan to take them with us again on our next cruise.
