Are these as thick as carhartt a and will they hold up as well

Last expensive pair of Carhartt I've used (it's all expensive and you're paying more for the name IMO) were too thick making me sweat a lot more (Texas heat...) and easily ripped in many areas (one being the worst in the crotch). mainly do residential electrical work 7 days a week and frequent commercial jobs/landscape lighting jobs (climbing trees/ladders/alot of digging/trenching/ground work on knees running wires) which all takes a toll on pants fairly quick and I've stuck with the wrangler rangers for the last 4+ years since most others I've tried don't last as long+aren't as comfortable+don't have the quality and added options as these do, they're the best pair I've found for the price with every option needed for tough trade work. If you're deciding on Wrangler vs Carhartt my advice is to go with wrangler, I bought in on the assumption that since they originally designed their pants for hard @$$ working cowboys they should hold up to my line of brutal work and that's still holding true since I've been using 'em. Every pair of rangers I have I've only ripped holes in the pockets by my own misuse (screwdrivers/other pokey things) but all of 'em are still held together without any tears/issues besides some stains.

does anyone know how these work pants compare to (carhartt relax-fit carpenter pant) inseam/length sizing? reasoning for my ? is i'm 6'7" tall & h

I initially really liked these Pants. I'm 6'4" 280lbs. They're not as heavy duty or durable as the equivalent in Carhart. Mine lasted about 4 months, then on a Hot Sweaty day, squating to lift materials, they ripped. Kind of the way Levi's used to. Not the Ass Crack, because they are reinforced there, but sort of diagonally about 3"s of the 4"s, from the bottom of the double stitched zippered fly at a 90' towards the seam of the front double left leg. Probably one of the few non-reinforced areas. Just enough for anyone to easily identify if you're going commando, or wearing some fun color, or print Your Wife or ol' Lady bought you. Because of my Inseam longer than 34"s (35 1/2), finding any jeans or durable work pants, has always been frustrating, but I used to be able to get, with some wasted time searching, any of the the top 3 in 35"L and 36"L despite my 42"W (Muscular Abs + maybe a Pony Keg over the 6pack). But now, though a couple of models might be listed, even in the Big n Tall sections,they all say " Out of Stock"! Sooo. Here I am about to buy a couple a more ( over priced) pairs. (Pros) - Comfortable - Reinforced in alot of Areas - Good Usable Pocket locations - Good double Stitching - Double Front Leg (Quads) bump/burn zones - No annoying Velcro - Reinforced back pocket lining ( Cons) - Light-Medium Duty - After a few Washings you'll be Burning/Cutting Irish Penants, and rapid color fade - I don't like the bright Red Logo on back pocket, or the brown colored trim of lining overlapping - If you're going to reinforce so many areas, why not include, where some of the strongest muscles of the working body, repetitively create a stress point from Abduction?( and protect our Junk) - Because of the location of the rip, can't even re-purpose as cut-offs. ( Conclusion) I will/ am buying them again. Even at the Bloated Price Point. Without Expectation of Longevity. Only due to lack of Alternatives at this Time....( In fairness, I am not only a Tradesman, but a Biker, so maybe they get a bit more friction in that area, although I've yet to experience any fail with Carharts, Dickies, or the more Durable, or Western models of Wrangler.
