A Game-Changer for High-End Sales Strategy
This book helped me refine my thinking and truly understand what motivates affluent buyers. The insights came at exactly the right time, especially as I reevaluate how I market my higher-end products. The only slight downside was the author’s apparent admiration for Trump before his second election—he does bring him up a few times. A couple of those moments were a bit tough to get through, but they didn’t take away from the core value of the book. The advice is solid. It helped me reprogram how I think about selling premium items. In my industry, it’s clear: the very low-end and very high-end products are still moving, while the mid-range items are struggling. Even though our overall sales numbers are down, our profits are actually going up—which is no small feat in these times. The author’s thinking is sound, and just reading the book gave me the reset I needed. Thanks,John

Genius roadmap to marketing to Boomers & I know because I am one
As usual Dan Kennedy's straightforward style nails it. I love the way he doesn't mince words.Technically, Kennedy's other book is about marketing to seniors. But if you know where the wealth currently resides, you'll understand that dual income Boomers who are about to inherit the largest mass of wealth, are indeed the affluent.A Boomer myself, I know how tricky it is to market to us because our generation has never been like the gen before it. We always do it our way... including what people who aren't smart call "aging".Boomers prefer to consider these years prime time and when you understand how to speak to us with respect and give us the dignity we deserve, we'll consider buying.Master your messages to this generation and you'll have the treasure map that helps you serve the affluent.

Dan Kennedy Does It Again...If you're audience is Mass Affluent or Better, You'll be happy
I'm a big fan of Kennedy's. His No B.S. Direct marketing training and books havealways been profitable to me. It's real world...feet on the ground...get results. This is an update of the same title done a few years ago. And very, very insightful. He talks about the top dogs in income and what they respond to.More importantly he delves into the different levels of the Mass Affluent world. If that's where you live and work..you'll recognize the behaviors. But maybe never had them put out so plainly for you. And now you cando better. Bottom line...if this is an audience you sell to, you'll be very glad you found it.On the other hand, if you are one of the "I hate rich people" Or "I hate successful people"...or some irrational version of that...you probably wouldn't even be looking at this. But if it is you...don't bother. You'll just get upset.(And knowing Dan, he's probably upset for me saying this because he certainly wants to sellas many copies as he can !)

Real marketing insight and experience from Dan Kennedy
Big fan of the No B.S. series. No B.S. Marketing to the Affluent is great, it gives real insight into the buying trends of the top end of the market, how to position yourself to be in line with consumers that are less price averse and won't disappear during a recession. If you are trying to grow your business this is a must read. If you are just getting started in business this book help you speed past some of the learning curve.

Brilliant insights, once you get past the Trump enthusiasm
This book is well-worth buying and reading if you're an entrepreneur of any kind, and want to attract affluent customers and fans... with one warning: Especially in the first part of the book, Mr. Kennedy keeps injecting what seems political (praising Trump), somewhat irrelevant to the topic, and - after awhile - annoying. Also, I'm not convinced that Mr. Kennedy fully grasps the difference between "old money" and "nouveau riche." In many ways, they're very different audiences. What plays well to one may not work very well with the other, and - at a certain point - may even drive them away.Fortunately, I kept reading. (It helped that, along the way, Kennedy makes some very good points that hadn't crossed my mind. However, I had to pace myself; if I read too much in one sitting, I'd become so annoyed I wasn't absorbing as many ideas as I'd like.)The last portion of the book - the last 1/3 to 1/4 - is sheer genius. The tips are specific and actionable. I realized that I had a bit of a blind spot in regard to some standards used by all affluent people (old & new money). Breaking through that barrier was tremendously helpful, and I haven't seen these insights anywhere else.My advice is to buy and read this book, skimming the political portions if they're close to giving you a facial tic. (Discussing this, my husband did a delightful impersonation of Inspector Dreyfus from "The Pink Panther" series.)By the conclusion of the book, you'll be very pleased that you kept turning those pages.

Kindle version of Marketing to Affluent People is unreadable.
The format of the kindle version marketing to affluent people is horrible I wonder is if the author has been made aware of this situation. I bought the audible version as I couldn't read the book itself. I hope the author finds someone who can edit the book correctly for the kindle version and let us know about it.

There are other better books on the subject.
Take the political aspects out of this book and it would have been better. When dealing with Dan, his products etc, I've always felt that the joke was on me.. Can't shake that bad feeling. He's the expert, and he'll spend a lot of time defending his opinion.
