Waterpark savior!
I bought this after my last trip to the waterpark with my kids and just had a chance to use it! Game changer! I would say it needed to dry/cure a bit and had a strange feel on my skin at first but it was so worth it after getting in the park and walking with wet skin and damp swimsuit! This will be a staple in my beach bag from now on! I’m so happy I found it! I was doubtful it could work but glad I tried!

Magic
I have struggled with saddle sores from long-distance bike riding for years. I had no big problem riding about 8-10 hours a week but if I rode more I'd develop painful saddle sores. Tried many different products with mixed results. From specialized biking chamois creams to general anti-chafing creams to baby products. Nothing really helped. I was skeptical about Blue Steel but decided to try it anyway. It helped from the very first day to shrink existing sores and with continued use I developed no more saddle sores at all.I just spent 4 weeks in Hawaii cycling 15-20 hours a week. I never could have done this before I used Blue Steel. Absolute Magic. Never needed to reapply even for 5 hour rides. This in 80-90 degree weather.I think Blue Steel cures and prevents the infections that are saddle sores which are caused by heat and sweating. I don't know how well it works preventing physical chafing. Unlike other cycling creams, Blue Steel rubs in completely and does not seem to leave a lubrication layer on the skin. So, if you are trying to protect against physical chafing it may or may not work for you. I liken this product to sun screen. You rub it in, it disappears but keeps on protecting. Other anti-chafing products are more like zinc oxide (for sun protection). They don't rub in but leave a protection layer on the surface of the skin. However, for me these other anti-chafing products did not do the job while Blue Steel does.An added benefit of Blue Steel is that it does not leave a water unsoluble mess in your bike shorts. Unlike most other similar products.

Effective
Big fan. Works all day, protects well, and I chafe/sweat a lot. I've found it works better than a lot of other products than on the market...Only complaint I can think of is the scent is pretty strong when you first put it on, though it fades after a little while.

I used this for a 6 mile run and still got some chafe so for longer events I use another product
I use a few of different anti-chafe products and order this one to compare to my goto product. GurneyGoo. GurneyGoo has a petrolatum base which is highly water (sweat) resistant, this product lists its first ingredient as water. In fact many of the products I've tried list water as their first ingredient. My experience with using both is that Blue Steel is ok for shorter bouts of exercise or dry conditions but not where you are going long or expect to be wet. It's more cream like to apply and when I used it on a common chafe point for long runs (6 miles) I definitely did get a little chafe as my post run shower told me! I was concerned when I applied it as I could basically wash it off my hands with water even without soap. With GurneyGoo that is not the case, it's a thicker product and highly water repellent, no water in the ingredient list. I can tell even a day later and after a shower that GurneyGoo is still on the skin, it really is different in this aspect, it stays on for much longer and resists water and chafe very well. In fact the best way to get GurneyGoo off my hands after application is to not try washing it off, but to simply wipe your hands with a dry towel, this leaves my hand feeling protected and dry. Both products contain Tea Tree oil, Blue Steel lists it as the 8th of 11 products on their list of ingredients while GurneyGoo list it as the 4th of 4. GurneyGoo has that pleasant tea tree oil smell when you apply it, it's obvious it has a much greater concentration of tee tree oil than Blue Steel. You can not really smell the oil in Blue Steel. Overall Blue Steel is not the product for someone like myself that does long durations events and often in wet conditions. It may be more for those who do not like the smell of tee tree oil and need a water based product for their skin and are not working out in wet or humid conditions.

Worth every penny!
I’ve used just about everything you could think of for chafing in between my thighs and this is the best one yet! I apply it and can survive all day in the heat and not have even the inkling of chafing. If you’re considering this GET IT! also it doesn’t break out my inner thighs and smells like tea tree oil which I like.
