Great Toy
I breed German shepherds. This toy is a soft formed stick made of a memory foam/ rubber polymer. It’s light weight, very durable, floats and my German Shepherds love retrieving this toy. They are not indestructible but they are a great chewing toy for their price. I usually buy several at a time. This toy will help clean their teeth and is soft enough not to damage their teeth. It’s a favorite item for my dogs.

Nice light stick for supervised playing
My dog absolutely LOVES this stick! I get one every time I see it on sale! It is very light, and it bounces in an unpredictable way which is why I think she loves it so much. It also floats, so it’s a super good toy for water retrieving! HOWEVER it is NOT a chewing toy, and can easily be destroyed. I don’t ever leave my dogs toys down when we’re not playing anyways because that decreases their value, so that’s not an issue for me, as well as having multiple so if she does decide to chew one I can quickly call her off it. It does have a bunch of teeth marks but whatever, it’s a dog toy. It cleans dupery easy too and while it is light it can get pretty decent distance with my throwing it.

My dog is addicted to this ball!!! Awesome bounce, VERY durable, easy to clean
I have three dogs but only one is a total ball freak and obsessed with chasing the ball. This is his favorite ball in the whole world! He is a 75 pound American Staffordshire Terrier and 2.5 years old. He is extremely active and obsessed with playing ball. He will play forever if you let him. When given the choice of a tennis ball, or any kind of squeaky ball (and he LOVES squeaky things) he will always go to his Hyper Chewz. It has tremendous bounce which he loves as he is very athletic and can jump about 4-5 feet in the air to catch a ball. It is also soft on his mouth when he catches it after a kind of fast pitch to him directly or straight up in the air. Other balls have hurt his mouth due to the impact when it hits his open mouth. This is also very chewy which he loves. In between playing catch he will give it some chews before dropping it again for me. Does it have tooth marks on it, you bet but he has had his ball for almost 2 YEARS!!! and it has yet to tear or fall apart in any way and it still floats. When he gets really foamy from all the play I toss it in his water bowl to encourage him to go get a drink. For us this is the best ball on the market, I am so worried that they may someday discontinue it that I stocked up! My guy hates being crated and use to be when he got let out he would literally nip at me and jump on me in his excitement, being that big it was kind of painful to be honest. So..... I started placing his ball just outside the crate when I get home and then open it, we developed a routine that the sliding door is already open to the outside and when I open the door he races to his ball and runs outside and does the zoomies like crazy with it in his mouth and no longer mouths me or jumps on me, he is absolutely too busy rejoicing that he has his Hyper Chewz in his mouth. It is awesome! The people who say their dog ripped it apart must not have dogs that play ball, it isn't meant as a chew toy but I can say my guy is really big with gigantic teeth and he has yet to damage it, although to him it is a prized possession, lol, so he isn't about to mess with it. :) But he tears up stuffies so it isn't like he doesn't do stuff like that and he has chewed tennis balls but has never messed with this one:)

Didn't last one day.
Didn't last even an hour. This damage wasn't from the dog either, it looks like it let loose from the stress of just trying to launch it! It doesn't fly near as far as the discontinued Pig Slingshot toy. Bring back the pig, please. I also ordered the other listed Hyper Pet flying fowl, and it flew the same distance as this one, and has lasted through the day (but needs to be heavier). But for this one, perhaps they needed to double stitch the area under the 'chin'? I'll try to return it. It looks like it should be more durable, but at least that part isn't. Second one: I chose the replacement, instead of a refund because my dog loves me shooting the toys into the yard. He saw the new duck, and was excited. Six shots in and the seam on the bottom of the head was already separating. By 10 or so times, it was getting concerning as the seams were opening enough I was concerned that it would lose its filling. I'm disappointed, and so is my dog. Just in case anyone is wondering, I never let him alone with this, and still feel, even more so, that the failure is the stitching on the bottom of the head, right at the point where the most stresses of launching it are focused. I'd strongly recommend that Hyper Pet use two layers of full canvas over that area, and also Bring Back The Slingshot Pig, PLEASE... The second picture is the second Duck, and my 7 month old. He wasn't ready to end the session. The problem, for us, is that the 'dog run' isn't very long, and all of the other toys I have are bazooka style launching devices that I can't use yet as they would fly far over the fence. Ironically one is from Hyper Pet, and is amazing. Works so well. Too well?

Great for playtime!
Let's be clear up front. As it states in the description, which I failed to read (my bad), this toy is not for aggressive chewers. As anyone with a puppy can tell you, puppies are aggressive chewers as it is in thier nature to cut teeth and learn what chewing is all about. That being said I will say this is a great toy for playing fetch and water play due it its ability to float. My German Shepard really enjoys this toy as it is not rough on her teeth as some Nylon bones can be and with it being light-weight it is easy to throw with out pulling your arm out. All in all I give this toy a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Reason: The durability is exceptional however, even though the toy does hold its shape very well, over time pieces will begin to break off especially with larger dogs. This is mainly due to a larger dogs teeth repeatedly sinking deep into the toy causing small separations in the material which with time cause larger separations ultimately leading to breakage. Overall, great product. Definitely recommend for play and play only. Do not leave this in your dogs kennel as they can and will destroy it. Plus pieces may be ingested by your animal and could cause harm.

My dog loves it. Read the instructions and Don't hold it too close to your face as it will "attack" you if your hand slips.

I bought this toy whilst on holiday in the USA at a Bass Pro shop and bought it back for my medium sized Australian Shepherd. It lasted around 9 months of games of fetch and is still going but i just happened to google the brand and found theyre stocked on amazon. It is by far her favourite toy. She loves sticks and the stick shape is perfect for walks, and it is large enough to not worry about it getting stuck down her throat and the foamy material withstands her constant abuse and biting. She is not one for destroying toys, but i think if your dog does this would be able to be destroyed. So i bought a new version for when the time comes that her old one needs replacing!

I usually do not jump in to type negetive reviews but I thought some one should have said this so I didn’t buy this. As you can see in the picture, 5 month old Labrador puppy chewed this off within 15 minutes of arrival. On a plus side he did very much enjoy those 15 minutes of chewing. This is going into the bin though as I don’t want an expensive surgery cost for the sake of him being happy. Unless u have a tiny teacup dog don’t buy this.
