It works
If you’re older like me (45), you might remember that Nair never really worked all that well in the 90s. So I was pleasantly surprised when I wiped this off after 10 minutes and it took EVERY SINGLE HAIR OFF! I didn’t have to scrub or even rub hard. I literally just applied enough pressure to wipe it off and all of the hair went with it. I’m talking course bikini area hair! I did use a lot of the cream. I smeared it on as thick as you’d apply jelly to toast (that’s all I could think to compare it to). I’m so excited because I get bad razor bumps when I shave and this left me as smooth as a baby’s butt! As far as the smell that the other reviewers mentioned, I didn’t think it was all that strong. It does put off a smell as it starts to work but it wasn’t choking or gagging me and I couldn’t smell it on me once the product was wiped off. I will definitely be using this regularly in the summer during bathing suit season!! Yaaay!!!!

Always swear by nair
This is my favorite product, other than shaving. Which I never have shaved before because I’m scared of Getting razor bumps. But I have went and got body waxes. No, I would not use on my face in anyway. Would not recommend people using this chemical strong thing on your face. A black men with strong coarse body hair. With so much hair. I got my back waxed professionally . And I broke out and basically bumps that were under the skin. This has never happened using nair. I will continue using nair for the bum, legs and intimate men areas. Yes, men can use nair products all over as well. It’s really a great substitution to shaving for a man. I just will putting it on last. Very thin layers. This is a very chemical based thing. Do not recommend keeping on long. Do not recommend using a lot. You need to calm your skin down. May have irritation. Which is normal for me after using. Maybe itching and red. Or burn slightly. This is because I’m sure the product has something in it that has to go thru the skin and remove hair. A nair will usually last me. Like around 2 months. I apply thin to special areas. And leave for less time. Or until it stings. When it stings. Wipe off. Also a trick I use. Is using gloves to apply the product. It helps because it is so messy. So using gloves to apply it, wash it and rinse. The whole process with using nair.

Would rather shave or bleach hair lighter
Does the job, but it smelt like I was getting a chemical burn, and it burnt like I was (3.4/10 pain). After removing, skin was beautifully silky and smooth, but hair grew back the same or worse.

Worked on my legs, but burned my pits
The first time I used this was right before I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. It takes me forever to shave my legs because I let them grow out a while in between shaves. I did a test patch around my ankles and it was fine. It did save me time, although I had to leave the product on my legs 8 minutes for it to work. My hair’s not particularly thick, either. Luckily, I shaved my pits, not wanting to chance a burn before the wedding. No issues with my legs, although a couple days afterward, I got these weird, red ingrown hair bumps on my inner thigh areas only. I thought it was because I hadn’t exfoliated beforehand? So the second time I used it, I thought hey, it saved me time shaving the forest of hair on my legs, why not try on the beards in my armpits? Bad idea. I only left it on for five minutes as directed, but it burned my skin and left most of the hair intact. I think it must’ve pooled in the crevices (shudder). I couldn’t put my arms down for three days, and had to use burn ointment. Trying to use deodorant was painful, as was wearing shirts with sleeves. I have seen reviews here where people use Vaseline before applying to sensitive areas, but at this point I’m too afraid to try it. I ended up throwing the rest out because I didn’t want to confuse it with body wash. You’ve been warned.

works amazingly and painlessly
I started using Nair about three years ago but stopped for a while because I didn't want to repurchase it. Recently, I went back to using it and can't believe how much easier and faster it is compared to shaving my legs. Shaving used to take me over an hour, and I never did a great job; the hair would grow back in a few days. With Nair, it takes about five minutes, although sometimes up to ten because my hair is extremely coarse and thick. It's painless, and I often forget it's there. While some people comment on the bad smell, I don't find it that strong, and it's 100% worth it for the convenience.
