Sometimes skin care doesn't feel good. Sorry to say. I also use 20% glycolic acid peel pads every night and follow that with this serum. To regenerate and renew your skin you gotta get rid of the dead stuff on the surface, and that can burn or tingle, and can also leave your face a little pink or even red. And this is not limited to people with oily skin - sensitive, combo and dry skin can benefit from these serums, but you should take it slow in the beginning because it can be difficult to wash off. My advice is to start out using this only at night, and even then just use a quarter pump - the odor is strong at first, if you want an odorless version, you can spend double here on amazon on the multitude of other serums - for me I can't afford those, and frankly due to the weight of this serum it negates my final step in skin care (a night cream) saving me even more money. I've been using this as a follow up to my acid peels for about 2 weeks now. The burning and tinging is unnoticeable at this point, and the results far outweigh the minimal, initial discomfort. My skin is tight, and my pores are tiny - the tone of my skin has evened out considerably. As far as the smell goes, it reminds me of some sort of taffy store or wax based candy or candles...I can't quite place it, it's not nauseating, at least for me, and I've started out slow as I said and don't notice it anymore. I'm glad I purchased it, and would buy it again, I hope this review helps you decide if it is right for you or not!

I got both this product and an another 100% HA formula and use them interchangeably. The 100% formula is sort of watery and goes through immediately, but this one, while it is also absorbed rapidly, it's creamier, doesn't run as much, and leaves a healthy glow. It stings slightly, for a few seconds, esp. around the more sensitive skin by mouth and eyes, but doesn't cause irritation. I'd recommend shaking it well before use and wearing it under the usual moisturizer (because when used alone it makes the skin very shiny though not oily. Definitely improves skin, and the results are almost instant. A small objection about the scent (jasmine), a little overpowering at first (both hubs and son noticed, 'uh, what's that smell, oh it's you!'), but goes away quickly.

I've only been using this product for a week, but I have to say so far I'm very impressed. I'm in my early twenties and I wanted to purchase an anti-aging product that was effective and not too expensive. So far, in just 2 nights of use, this serum has drastically reduced some smile lines that were starting to concern me. I can't wait to see what regular use will do for my forehead lines, which are a bit more troubling. I'll check back and let everyone know. One negative....the smell is a bit strong. It smells like a combination of cheap perfume and patchouli. Personally, I just apply the serum before bed and wear it overnight. I don't wear it during the day due to the smell and the fact that it is oily and doesn't mix well with moisturizer and foundation. However, it's perfect as an overnight treatment and the price can't be beat!

My friend suggested I try this and I really like it. It is also less expensive than the brands I normally use.

This is the most effective, over the counter skin care product I have ever used! The two lines between my eyebrows (mommy lines) have completely disappeared. I noticed after using the product for less than a week. The first few times I used the serum, it did sting and also made my skin slightly flaky but this did not last for long. The smell is strong initially but wears off through the day and it is not an unpleasant smell by any means. Amazon, please never stop selling this item...I will continue to by it for the rest of my life!

Wonderful, results to see in 2 days! This product really works, it smooths out wrinkles and skin looks refreshed and younger. I expect that with sustained use, the results will be almost magical. It goes on easily, absorbs right away, it has a slight odor, but it is a pleasant one. This is a really great find, as the cosmetic companies are charging a lot of money for just a little of this in their creams, as this product is better. You just add it to your routine you already have.

The smell is terrible. It makes the product unusable for me.
