Hell of a screwdriver
I've been using PicQuik Screwdrivers since I found my original one back at Fry's Electronics, over 10-15 years ago. They are rugged, sturdy, and handy... since all the bits are in the handle. Should I need more power, I just put the bit in my drill/driver, and I'm off and running. Very versatile... and now even more so with the new added function of the 5/16 driver addition. Just don't use it as a chisel and hit it with a hammer. Use the right tool for the job.

The Upgraded Version
This one seems to be the best one they have. It has the added feature of being able to switch between a 1/4" and a 5/16" driver. The unit feels very solid and it holds the not-in-use bits very securely. I am glad I found this one on Amazon. Klein makes a nice unit as well, but this one is small and compact and utilizes the longer shank, bit design. Very useful on recessed screws.

Worth the price! Great design and function
This is my new favorite screwdriver! Well made and designed. Easy to use. Handle is made/designed in Canada and the various screwdriver components are made in Taiwan. I keep it in my house for indoor projects. It is very easily interchangeable and also holding it in the palm is easy to get a nice grip.

Excellent Screwdriver, if you need the 5/16” Nut Driver
As a maintenance worker, I use screwdrivers everyday. I use quality tools, & am pretty critical of flaws, as they cost me time. Cheap screwdriver’s ruin fasteners, wear out & in the end save no money.Picquic has been making great screwdrivers for decades. I got the Super 8 Plus to leave in the boiler room at work. I’m really quite happy with it, despite some criticisms. If you need a 5/16” nut driver on a multi-bit screwdriver,+The bits, (made in Taiwan,) are quite good. Not to the level of the best makers, but excellent for the price. * they’re well-shaped, & the slotted drivers are fairly well hollow-ground, (parallel,) so they don’t damage fasteners.Mine are electroless nickel-plated, which is a nice touch for a driver that’ll see HVAC or plumbing use.+the handle is quite sturdy, (acetate?) it offers good purchase for torque.+the 1/4” & 5/16” nut drivers are excellent+the bits store securely+ w/ the exception of a T25, it has drivers for all the most common fasteners in the US.+it’s quite compact, despite being a full-size screwdriver when assembled+ the long drivers allow it to be used on recessed fasteners.-due to the 5/16” nut driver, there’s a fair bit of play in the bit while in use. The nut driver is shallow so it’s not that the bits don’t fit, but regardless of how it’s oriented, it allows a 1/16” of play along its axis. It is not usually a problem while in use, but it doesn’t feel as solid as other options.**The regular screwdrivers from Picquic don’t have this issue, so if you don’t need a 5/16” driver, consider that one.-the handle is too large for extended use by smaller hands, though it is smaller than the non-ratcheting Megapros.Alternative Compact Screwdrivers:• The PB Swiss Insider is nice, the bit storage is more secure and resists moisture. The bits are the best. (The slotted bits are chamfered are the ends to avoid damage.)-But you can’t extend the shaft, & most bit holders won’t find inside the handle. If you are using your palm to unscrew a tight fastener, you can accidentally open the handle. It’s expensive.• Rolgear has a silent ratcheting mechanism which is nice, (tho, who cares about ratchet noise?) it’s kind of like a Picquic w/ a ratchet.- the handle design is terrible, it rolls off flat surfaces & is made of cheap plastic that easily cracks. I’d avoid it.• The excellent value US-made Allway lightweight fiberglass (FRN) screwdriver, (also sold under Stanley and Hyper Tough,) isn’t as compact, comes it at under 7” in length. They claim it’s UL-rated to 2000v, (due to the FRN shaft.) it’s really lightweight, tough and inexpensive.•The bits are chrome plated to resist corrosion, and are S2 steel. They’re not as high quality as Picquic, but pretty decent.- Sometimes the UL rating isn’t marked on the handle itself, so use it on live circuits at your own risk. I suspect it depends on whether the brands that offer it submit it for testing.- only holds 4 bits.•Wera Kompact 25(I wrote a full review of the Wera..)+excellent bits+stores compactly+Rapidaptor holds bits tight & is fast to use+lightweight-Rapidaptor is too bulky for recessed fasteners-Shaft isn’t very long-Questionable long-term durability under hard use*the best bits are from makers like PB Swiss, Snap-On, Hazet, Stahlville, Wiha, Wera, Grace, Felo, Witte & Zephyr. PB Swiss are probably the best I’ve used, but the others aren’t far behind. Proprietary bits like Megapro & especially Chapman are high quality, but less versatile & often more expensive & harder to replace.

Very well made, very versatile.
This is a very well made tool at an excellent price. The handle is big so you can get a real good grip on it when using. The bits are securely stored and won't fall out if you drop the screwdriver, yet are simple and easy to push out of the handle holding them in. The bits fit well and the magnet is plenty strong to hold them securely. The 1/4" & 5/16" nut driver feature on this model is a big bonus too. I have older multi-bit screwdrivers from Stanley, Craftsman and Milwaukee and this one surpasses them all. The bit storage system in this screwdriver beats all the others screw cap inside and the handle storage of older designs. Everyone should have at least one of these screwdrivers in their home or tool box or car.

Picquic Super 8 Plus - Great! Amazon Source Stocking - No So Great.
Picquic Super 8 Plus - received quickly from Amazon, and it is impressive: all the bits and the handle are solidly made. Looks to be excellent quality. Wherever it came from, though, was not impressive: the bottom on-third of the screwdriver's carded package was water-soaked and soggy. The accompanying item, another Picquic model, was not, but it did get wetted by the Super 8 Plus package. The shipping envelope was not wet. This just means that the source was willing to send the customer an item in damaged packaging. If I intended to give these as gifts, this would have been unacceptable. I've read about such results in other reviews: Don't use Amazon if the received item condition matters.

Outstanding quality
This is a well built screwdriver that has a unique design for storing bits, and it a pleasure to use.
