If you want BRAGGING rights, or also mandatory for temperature BARRIER
If you want bragging rights, these are the sets to get. If you MUST have the temperature barrier, these are also for you. Otherwise, they are not as practical as most glasses. I happen to love them. This review is for the 20-oz glasses, both in WAVE style and also straight style wall glasses (both). I will do reviews on all of the other, larger glasses as well, with pictures.Shown is 1 Wave-glass wall, next to a straight glass wall, both are 20-oz, with 6 standard "crescent" ice cubes inside the wave-glass, and the other glass is empty. Perhaps you can JUST make out the waves in the glass that is holding the soda. Clearly this 20-oz size is too large for a 12-oz beverage, even with 6 ice cubes, and this is not the size for small beverages. I chose 12-oz of liquid on purpose. Note that the vacuum-chamber double-wall construction may require far less ice cubes depending on your situation. Many have said that the primary reason for choosing this style is the temperature barrier, without a doubt. Both 20-oz styles are really wonderful to look at and feel great in the hand. The story behind the Borosilicate Glass, and the vacuum chamber between the panes makes this a great story while enjoying a beverage with someone. I have heard that ice-dispensers could crack the inner wall, but I filled 2 of the 20-oz glasses with my crescent-cubes dispenser from the fridge door (not small cubes), and had no issues. These are sturdy, and have a pleasant weight to them, but are still FINE glassware, not for children or clumsy people. I find them very sturdy, but still would not toss in a sink, nor stack in a full sink, and I would treat like a nice wine-glass.Part of my job is serving occasional beverages in the office, and sometimes (fine dining) public restaurant dinner functions with my boss and small teams. I fully admit that the straight-wall version of the 20-oz glass does seem in many ways like a flower vase. Remarkably so. But if you want the large size, this will be your new go-to glass. I prefer the wave-wall version, no question, so does my fiancée. The wave-wall versions (only available in wave, in the 2 larger size glasses) feel much better in the hand - these glasses are just a bit larger than normal glasses in their size class of course. The waves make them easier to hold, even though I have XL hands. This whole set was a gift by the way (all 7 styles, 14 in total), and when my fiancée saw them, my son was at serious risk of NOT getting the glasses at all. Not kidding. I hope she still feels this strongly about me, as she was about these glasses. Some said that the LIP is too sturdy, and may not be easy to drink from, I'm not sure what they mean. Fiancée is 5' 4", small hands, and was going to fight someone (me) to get the large version of this set, 20-oz. If you give these as a gift, do NOT let your fiancée/wife see them, or you will be buying more than what you planned for. And your original gift may be delayed until replacements come. I am not putting these in the dishwasher, and no idea how we could break these sturdy things, except for an accident of course. If one ever breaks, I will absolutely replace it. Beautiful insulated glass
These are comfortable to drink out of; they are dishwasher safe; they keep drinks cold and are high quality. The glass doesn’t “sweat” and is comfortable to hold. The glass is clear & sturdy. They are stylish and elevated. I love that there is a 20 oz option. Excellent quality. Love them! Very good purchase!

Perfect!
These are the best glasses and exactly what I was looking for as I attempt to reduce the amount of plastic in my house, especially my kitchen. I love the size so I don’t have to go refill my water every 30 minutes.

Past the Portion Police. They're back!
These are very well made. They keep hot beverages hot or cold beverages cold much better than single-wall glasses. Water for tea can be microwaved to a boil in these glasses, and the outside is ok to handle. These are hefty, about like a typical pub beer glass. These stand straight without taper, so they don't tip over as easily as a typical pub beer glass. There is enough thickness for strength, so there is a little more heat transfer to the beverage than the thin and light (and fragile) double-wall coffee mugs.Get these if you can.The only problem with these is the Portion Police. The 20oz size became unavailable shortly after I got mine, just like when I got my 20oz double-wall coffee mugs. It seems all suppliers for these got shut down.(four weeks later) Got two more when these became available again, Sun's Tea brand, same hefty glass. They have been used every day. Ice, hot, cold, microwave, dishwasher, no problem. My old favorite double-wall mugs are rarely used now.(years later) These get a lot of use. They are a household favorite. They do NOT get any special care. They still shine, no chips or cracks. One of them broke due to my fumble, and my attempt to catch it increased the force of the impact. When it broke, there was no 'pop'. The broken shards stayed in the kitchen sink. I don't think the space between the walls is vacuum.

Good Insulated Glass
Somewhat high price for glasses, but I wanted the insulation capability. The lip is thick (as is necessary) but it isn't cumbersome or annoying. It does insulate against heat and cold well except when I have had a cold drink with lots of ice in there for a longer period of time I eventually begin to get some condensate. Still it is minimal, and substantially less than an un-insulated glass. The cups are heavy, but once again this is to be expected and it doesn't bother me. Does fine in the dishwasher. I haven't tested in the microwave as it is too tall for my microwave to test. I had some similar insulated glasses that were much smaller. These are a more practical size and are good for hot tea, ice water, etc. These glasses were in good shape when they arrive and appear to be heavy/thick enough to not break too easily.Pros:InsulatedReduced condensateReduced heat or cold lossLarge sizeDishwasher and Microwave safeCleans easilyGlass (won't absorb odors or mold, safer than plastic)Cons:Heavy (but acceptable)Large Lip (but not cumbersome)Expensive

Great for indoors. No sweat on the outside and ice cold on the inside!
Nice and heavy with low center of gravity. Very hard to tip over accidentally.Outdoors on hot and humid days it does collect some slight sweat but the beverage inside remains ice cold. Water does not pour off the outside like a normal beverage container.I left the glass out with partially melted ice overnight and it still had some ice left in it the next morning!

Defective
One of the glasses has developed a crack in the bottom of the inner part of the glass. Liquid is seeping between the inner and outer glass. At the price that was paid I would have expected a much higher quality product.
