Excellent value bluetooth headphones
I needed a new pair of bluetooth headphones after my old headphones became damaged so i scoured online reviews. I decided to plump for these for several reasons 1) The almost all positive reviews 2) The looks 3) Sony are a reputable make. The sound quality on these headphones is fantastic, straight out of the box, i've never been a great believer in "burning in" headphones, they usually sound the same in six months as they do from new, in my experience. With the easy to use smartphone app you can adjust the bass, EQ and almost everything you need to. The top and mid ranges are incredible and if i have one gripe it's that on some tracks the bass could do with a little more punch, but believe me it is a very minor quibble. The bluetooth range is pretty impressive as well, i have left my phone in the kitchen a few times to travel to various places in the house and even out into the garden and it has never lost signal. The noise cancelling is perfectly adequate as well, i have to turn it off whilst running or i don't hear cars coming down the country lanes that i run down, so it's clearly working. Comfort wise, not a gripe from me, i've seen some people say that the inside of the can itself (with the small plastic insert) can be uncomfortable on the ears. Not for me, but then i have small flat ears anyway. The build quality is excellent too and a hard case would have been a bonus for travel, but the sound quality is that good that you let this pass. Truly an excellent pair of bluetooth headphones.

Very good headphones
Well built, sound quality is excellent, noise cancelling is pretty good, quite comfortable too. Quite happy to have these on for extended use with the battery normally lasting 2-3 days. Sony headphones app is very handy so you can set your equaliser and level of noise cancelling. One small gripe with connecting to a PC.. the headphone use a different audio source for your 'regular' audio and then 'communication' audio, so if you have something in the background (like a game) and are using them as a headset, the background audio will either switch off or become very muffled and low quality. I'm sure there's a fix or option that needs to be changed but haven't figured it out yet. Regardless, happy with purchase, will recommend.

Brilliant but not perfect
I bought these to replace my 10 year old Panasonic's as I've been spending a lot more time using headphones at home during lockdown and was getting a little tired of using ear buds. Whist I'm more than happy to spend good money on decent headphones with the way the world is right now with Covid I couldn't really justify spending £350 + on headphones so these were a good option at a good price. I've done a feature breakdown below which may be of some use to you if you're considering these. Build quality: Being Sony these headphones have a nice premium feel to them even though they're probably considered to be more on the mid range spectrum. They have a powder finish-like feel which I really like, mainly because it means zero finger prints. They're very light weight and have a good overall high quality feel so no complaints there. Comfort: Due to the light weight build these fit very nicely, the headband has a pleasing underside cushioning that blends seamlessly into into the headband itself. The only downside I've found is that these headphones were clearly designed for people with enormous heads. I have a slightly above average size man head and have these set to the lowest possible fit and they JUST about sit tight enough on my head, ideally I'd like them to reduce down by about 1/2" then they'd be perfect. So in short, if you have a small head these probably won't be any good for you at all as they'll end up sliding down the sides of your face. I've read several reviews saying these are too tight which I can only assume were written by giant headed people. I won't be taking these to the gym or out on a run because they'll just fall off so ear buds at the gym for me. Sound quality: Whist the sound quality out of the box is very good I suggest downloading the Sony Headphone app so you can tinker the settings to your taste and get the most out of them. The volume is more than I could ever need so no issue there. These have an ample amount of bass without being too overwhelming but if you're a heavy bass lover I believe there's another pair of Sony wireless headphones that have been designed for higher bass levels so they might be a better option. Overall I'm very happy with the sound. Noise cancelling: This is my first pair of over ear ANC headphones so I don't really have anything to compare these to but when I'm using these I can't hear anything, can't hear the TV, can't hear my wife talking, can't hear the hoover, can't hear the dog barking. So basically the ANC works. Battery: The battery life is monstrous. I'm used to ear buds that last about 8 hours on a full charge so the 35 hours these manage is amazing. Overall these are very good headphones and I'd definitely recommend them for the current price (£159). I don't think they're worth the £250 RRP for the few minor cons mentioned above. The main issue is the sizing, if you're buying these for a child or you have a small head don't bother as even on the lowest fit setting they'll be hanging half way down you're jaw bone but for knocking about at home watching movies or just listening to music these are ace.

Pleasantly Surprised.
I originally had planned on purchasing the Sony XM3s after thorough research I believed for my requirements and with the XM4s being released they would meets my expectations. I had thought the XM3s would of been discounted on the Amazon prime day but when they weren't I came across the h.ear on 3s. I did some research and for the cost I came to the assumption that these would be a next level down from the XM3s. I purchased the green colour which I have to say looks slightly grey with pink/salmon earpads which was more to my preference. I downloaded the headphones app which allows you to adjust sound settings. Now in order to experience 3d sound experience you do need 3rd party audio apps such as tidal etc. It has touch control and also an ambience setting which can be switched off via the app. You have a function button which i have programmed for Alexa but you can use it for Google assistance or ambience settings. Overall the NC feature works well but for the pricetag i assume you will notice the difference with the XM4s / XM3s as it does let minor sounds through but for my usage it suffices. I find them very comfortable and like the matt finish Treble is excellent. Bass could be punchier. I'm happy with my purchase and for less than £200 and the features it provides I have to say it was a pretty good buy, but if you want the best of the best for noise cancelling these headphones may not be for you and I would consider an alternative model.

Guter Ton klang.

These are a great set of headphones. The sound quality is on par with most of the high end sets I've tried and they are extremely comfortable. Your ears can get a little warm after a while, but this is fairly normal with overear headphones. The build quality is great, the finish has a nice smooth touch and in red they look absolutely awesome. Noise cancelling is excellent and you can simply put your hand up to your right ear if you want to talk to somebody or hear something without taking them off. So far I've found the battery life to be excellent. Even when you're not using them they retain their charge very well as well. Out of the box the Bass was a touch low for me, but you can quickly adjust this through the headphones app. With a tweak to the Bass they were as good, if not better than my Bose. If there was one issue to nitpick with these headphones it would be that changing between devices could be quicker and simpler. I find that I have to turn off blue tooth on the devices I don't want to use to make sure it connects to my target device. Ideally you would be able to cycle through a list of devices, but once you have that down pat, it all works as you'd expect. They come with a soft storage bag rather than a hard case, but the soft case is better quality than I expected. If you are a frequent traveller you may want to think about an aftermarket case, but the bag will suit most people who take pride and care about their equipment. At this price point and with the sound & build quality you get, it's unlikely that you will be disappointed with your investment. I'd certainly buy them again, put it that way.
